My favorite player and yours Lucious Pusey

So then we can hear things like when Brandon Jacobs bowls over him "Pusey just took a licking there" or when he sacks Tony Romo "Romo just got Pusey whipped on that play" or when he makes a bad play and Williams is yelling at him on the sidelines "Wow, Pusey is getting chewed out"

Ok...back to our family oriented programming

Just so everyone knows Alan Branch is slipping big time in the eyes of most teams. He's not even on Mel Kipers Big Board anymore. My predicition is that he'll get drafted in the second round. Gaines Adams will probably be gone when the skins pick. Okoye is who i would pick.

I'm with TMC. Carriker (or Branch) after trading down.

Re: Call your draft pick

My shot:
Trade down our 1st round/#6 to New England for their 1st round/#24 and #26 (I believe) I know the Pats have 2 late first round picks... (Pats draft Landry DB)
We trade the latest pick and a pick from next year to Kansas City to acquire Jared Allen DE...
Then with the earliest pick of the two in the first round we draft Carriker or Branch (which ever is available)...

If it's #6 I say Amobi Okoye.

Trade up it's Johnson, trade down it's Carriker or Jamal Anderson.

Please! I know they are both untested receivers, just as any of the other players, but we ALL know the Dwayne Bowe is not Calvin Johnson!!!

Very true but I really like Bowe, he reminds me of a bigger version of Hines Ward.

I like Bowe too. He's more experienced.

Again, why is he not of Johnson's caliber?

We'll forget to draft until the sixth round and select BOB SAGGOT

Re: Call your draft pick

CALVIN JOHNSON and that's it ! We would have the sickest WR corps, back your secondary up because either Moss or Johnson are coming over the top. Oooh but then you still have to worry about Chris Cooley who'll be covered by a LB most likely ?

A) Trade up for Johnson
B) Trade down and get multiple picks, so you can fix that damn defense!
i love bowe lsu is my favorite college team but bowe isnt as fast or as strong and doesnt have better hands but i wouldnt draft either one
Is the small gap in size, speed, and strength really going to make a difference?

They are both going to be good, but it doesn't make a lick of sense for a team to trade up for CJ when they could trade down and get Bowe, IMO.

I've posted this at least a dozen times but her goes again:

Gaines Adams (but I still think they should try to trade down)

Underweight not undersized. He can easily put on 15 lbs.

Gaines Adams, if nothing changes between now and April 28.

Re: Call your draft pick

I call for the best available player left, taking a position of need only if the talent is equivalent among the choices available, or if the best player is at a position of need. If Calvin Johnson is there, I would draft him.

We don't have a crying need a defensive lineman in my view, but if the best player left is one, I'm for it. Here's Philip Daniels on why our sack totals were low (when we ran three man lines to protect the secondary) and why they were high (when we rushed four man lines):

WarpathInsiders.com Forums

I think we will pick the best available player, regardless of what position he plays almost. This is exactly what Coach Joe Gibbs said:

Gibbs Allows Workout Plan - washingtonpost.com

From the Washington Post:
Washington is looking for help at defensive end, and Gaines Adams of Clemson and Jamaal Anderson of Arkansas are regarded as the two best players at the position. Gibbs said he would be happy with either. "He's going to be a real good football player," Gibbs said of the Redskins' potential selection. "At six, we're trying to pick a player almost irregardless of what position he plays, is a player who is going to make a real impact, go to Pro Bowls for you."

Re: Call your draft pick

the more I look at what we need, the more i want alan branch. with him and griffin anchoring the line fletcher will be able to make plays and also they will create more opportunities for the dends... Plus the fact that we can now trade down and still get him its even better

Re: Call your draft pick

Amobi Okoye. I'm sold on the guy. He's done pretty much whatever he puts his mind to in life. Plus, if he works out, he's got potential bonus years with us due to his age.

Re: Call your draft pick

We have more pressing needs than WR.

Re: Call your draft pick

A while ago, I would've said Branch or Adams. However, the more I learn about Okoye, the more I like the idea of drafting him.

If we can keep him loyal to us, we'll have a pass rusher for a LONG, LONG time.
