Re: Holt released by Rams
Finally a good arguement. I can't dissagree. I know there are other teams who would make him their #1 and he would get #1 pay. I just don't buy the whole He's no longer good. but it would be nice if he did take the Skins into consideration and decided he would like to be here. Most likely not though. I'm done. Peace.
This is a good argument. I personally think someone will pay him #2 money however particularly due to his age |
Re: Holt released by Rams
Henry Ellard was on the "downslide" when he signed with us and played great.

I think myself and alot of others have said the same thing. Guess you were in denial. |
Re: Holt released by Rams
When you draft receivers and a TE with your first three picks, that's it, you are riding with those guys for the next few seasons. If they don't pan out you'll probably get fired (although it's kind of hard to get fired from the Redskins). If they are great you'll get a raise. But regardless, that's your receiving core, and the fact that some other player may theoretically be better than them is irrelevant. If we had drafted three Dlinemen with those picks you can assume we wouldn't have signed Haynesworth. This is how football works.

We needed him to. We have 5 WRs right now, 2 which we need to develop for the long-term. Kelly and Thomas do not need ANOTHER veteran in front of them. |

We need an insurance policy in case the two fail to step up. No? Otherwise all we have is Moss and ARE cause Thrash does nothing but special teams and maybe 1 TD a yr. |
