I can't wait, i beleive JC is going show people he is our QB of now & the future i think Thomas, Kelly, Davis & Mitchell will suprise alot of teams. HAIL TO THE SKINS!
Ill agree with about 80% of that statement. Sorry man but im not sold on JC.If he does great ill be the first to say i was wrong but to this point IMO he has been a disappointment for what we gave to get him. |
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
quick thread hijack:
On NFL Network they have "Top 10 Meltdowns" and Romo, for his December problems, checks in at #9. Man, I could watch that fumbled hold in Seattle again and again. Sorry, back to the one player that we cannot afford to lose... |

Almost as funny as the look on JJ's face when they were putting the triplets into the ring of honor and the Skins scored 14 pts on 2 long bombs to moss to win 14-13. PRICELESS I remember a guy on ESPN saying 'Even John Wayne and Roy Rogers are ashamed to be cowboys right now" :laughing2 |

Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
I remember before Gibbs ll it seemed like the Cowgirls were kicking our ass all the time. One of the worst periods of my life. But those days are gone. HTTR!!!

Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
I work with some cowgirl fans and one guy said he slept on the couch the night he heard T.O was released. He knows they are in trouble. I see them going back to the bottom, right where they belong.

Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Samuels is the key player because without him they become a mickey mouse offense. Their top question mark is right tackle so obviously you can't expect that guy to step in for the perennial all-pro.
Fletcher is the lynchpin of the defense and would definitely be missed but his absense would be less catastophic then losing Samuels. |
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Samuels for sure. Losing Hall would be tough too.
If Campbell goes down we are in trouble. I know there are mixed feelings on him and what he may be able to do, but he is the one Zorn is going to. If Campbell is gone then we will have a loooooong season. |
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Samuals....Bugal would have to get on the field to back HIM up
|
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Portis

Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Umm, Jason Campbell people.

Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Alot has been posted about losing Campbell,Fletcher,Samuels,Landry,Portis. If Campbell went down and Brennan was our guy,Zorn would adjust his plan to be more run attack(Portis). If Fletcher was gone Blades could do a admirable fill-in job.Samuels loss would be hard but i think the line could hold up,the problem last year is gone(Jansen).Landry would be replaced by Moore which has shown flashes.Portis is the heart of the offense and the back-up is Betts, but the leadership, pass blocking, blocking down field, hard nose running is the little things that keeps the QB on his feet.Alot might say Moss but i think Thomas is prepared to step up.Cooley would be a big loss also but there is another lurking.Portis is the obvious choice.

We don't need Portis. We have Mason. :) |
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
I just thought that we should reflect on this thread, because most of us said Chris Samuels was the one player we could not afford to lose and we lost him probably forever.
|
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
We pretty much lost everyone mentioned i nthis thread. What a god awful year.
|
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
The injuries were ri-goddamn-diculous this year.
10 different OL combos and 4 different starting RBs. Yup, sounds like 4-12 to me. Say what you will about schemes, play calling, etc., when you have the extent of injuries that we did, you're just not going to win many games. |
Re: One player the Skins cannot afford to lose to injury in '09
Does anyone on here know of Chris Samuels' status? I mean i know he is probably retiring, but does anyone know for sure??
