Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
how do you pick up the box the plane drops?
Also I have been playing on free for all just because I feel bad if I play on a team becasue I suck so bad. this is how I learned Halo just many games if me getting my a$$ kicked. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Care package? You just throw it in front of you, and then you walk up to the flare and press X(xbox 360).
|
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Also wth is up the game manual. 7 pages with absolutely no real help lol. Activision really trying to save some bucks huh?
Isn't that how most manuals are these days? I don't remember the last one I've even bothered to look at. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Another thing is you can change what kill streak rewards you get. You earn the right to unlock new killstreak rewards.
With the radar, it shows where people are based on if you hear them(aka if they shoot). Also all people will be visible if your team earns a UAV radar. Hey Matty, is it just me or does the UAV radar/ regular radar lag behind the one in COD before. I feel like I am always 3-5 steps behind of anticipating enemy movement when I am looking at the radar. I feel like the old mod. warfare UAV updated more than just every 5 secs. Maybe the people just move faster in this version. Not too sure.
I haven't noticed. I'm so used to playing hardcore that I don't look at the radar much. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Fair enough, hardcore wasnt available for me, still needa earn it. Or maybe it was. I will go back.

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
In terms of manuals, I just miss the old days. Reading a game manual was like reading a mini-comic. A lot of background info, etc. I use to look forward to reading the entire manual, but now I just feel like they are cutting corners to save money.
Internet has everything I need, so I guess it doesn't matter. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I think the manuals have gone away simply because most games now have tutorials that show you how to play. It's easier to learn that way vs. flipping through the manual.
|
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Agreed. I remember back in the day when the old Super NES manuals were great to read. I remember carrying around my Super Mario World manual just to read when i was in elementary school

What are in the care packages? Manuals are a thing of the past, most games come with a tutruiol built into the game or the have some really easy level that gets you going. LittleBigPlanet was like that, first two levels were jsut learning the game. I also think moving forward that FPS are really not going to have a story line becasue 90% of people buy the game for the on-line play. the old Madden games use to come with a playbook. That was some great sitting on the shiter studying right there. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I got a 26-13. Too many deaths, but I will work on that. But yeah, on that note I am going to bed.
|
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
My best so far was 16-0
I like all the accolades you can get, I seem to always get the longest in the prone position or the longest in one spot LOL |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Anyone try the co-op stuff? Try it out it's a lot of fun

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Played again last night.
I just may be a fan boy of Halo multiplayer but I find Halo mulitplayer more fun. I miss not having any vechiles to use. Also, you can be at a disadvantage with other folks right off the bat because they have a better weapon then yours. At least on Halo everyone has to hunt out the good weapons. On Halo it seems like if you are confronted you can jump out of some stuff throw gernades, etc... On COD if you get caught head on head basically it is who pulls the trigger faster. I guess it blows down to do you enjoy "camping" (which seems to better fit COD fighting) vs. "running around" (which seems to better fit Halo). I guess in the end COD is a more realistic style of fighting but Halo is damn good fun also. |

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Yeah well I haven't even touched the Campaign mode yet. My cousin sounded like you all in reference to the Campaing. He called me yesterday and told me that he beat it already and didn't sound too excited. I've been playing Multiplayer and that's about it. RUST is the best map EVER for Free-For-All. I saw you on there last night Matt, I think you were playing the Special Ops game.
Oh yeah and I'm still about 8-1,895,875 a game but damn if I don't still enjoy playing ! |

I think if I stick with it I will enjoy it. It is just a diffrent mind set. I will add and this just may have been my experience but much less trash talking and BS kiddie stuff compared to Halo. the kids on Halo just piss me off. I hate when they go around tea bagging people they killed. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
anyone have a favorite map yet? Are this maps all new from CODMW 1?

The Helipad is cool too. Running through the office buildings and all is pretty nice. The Airport is serious too because there are so many high walkways that you can snipe from. The town area is cool too, It starts with an F but I don't know what it is. So many buildings, roofs to go on. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I know you hate the term campers Matt, some camp, some are tactical. Tactical or not, don't camp in the cave you might be my 3rd kill even if I have to die 45 times first. I'll catch you eventually

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
mr redskins, try this if you think you are falling behind 1v1 on a shootout.
Hold B if you are shooting someone, you will drop to the ground, while the guy will remain shooting the area where you were. You can shoot him while you are laying down, and he will have to aim downwards. That time usually is enough to kill them. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
It's tough to "camp" in regular mode with no claymores plus the kill cam gives you away. I like to say I pick and move. :)
The game winning kill cam is pretty cool. |

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Also shoot in bursts. Dont hold onto the shoot button, as the recoil will make your aim go higher and higher thus decreasing accuracy.
Man I feel like Obama, giving all these free handouts. |

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I love the multiplayer. You rank up pretty damn fast. In an hour, i went from 1-10, which isn't all that impressive, but at least you can collect some new guns. The realism is what sets this apart from games like Halo for me, you get shot in the chest twice, you die. It's not shoot someone 15 times while they run up on you and kill you with a melee attack. The bullet penetration is sweet too, i love that these fools can't hide behind drywall anymore.

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I feel like it starts getting really hard to level up past 30 and 40. Kinda like it was last version.
I got from levels 1-15 fast, but its slowing down now at 19 |

My gamertag is: TMV Cobalt Lion
If anyone wants to send a friend request. I do Madden & COD MW2. I wouldn't mind doing some Madden with some fellow Warpathers. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I just wanted to say i just freaked out a few minutes ago when i saw the level "Wasteland" in modern warfare 2.
It even has the church and some of the buildings from All Ghillied Up....man what a great game....All Ghillied Up was the sole reason i loved MW1 so much...i must have played that level 50 times.... |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Anybody else feel like a douchebag as they were waxing innocent civilians in the airport?
|
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
They clearly ask you, the first time you put in the game, if you are easily offended. They are referring to that level, and if you marked yes, they would have prevented that level for you.

I wasn't offended. I just felt like a douche. Anyone who has played GTA cannot possibly be offended by that level. |
Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Should get a warpath gamers night going. MW2 is great but I am really looking forward to Left 4 dead 2.

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
I think I am about 25 or a bit more. I have my brother to account for about half of that.
I got a bit tired of the game, and played some FIFA and Madden last night. I think I am back on the COD train tonight. |
