GTripp, if you have finished your spreadsheet, can you post the best available OL, with age, and rating? Would like to see what names are even out there on the OLine side of the field.
I know this isn't what your asking for but this has I think the top OL out there that we might be looking at
This year's class of unrestricted free agents is not considered an overwhelming one. Green Bay's Chad Clifton and Arizona's Mike Gandy appear to be the top tackles available. San Francisco's Tony Pashos played under Chris Foerster, Washington's new offensive line coach, with the 49ers and in Baltimore. While he seemed like an early favorite, 49ers head coach Mike Singletary said last week that he's hopeful Pashos will be locked up before he can hit the open market.
I'd like for us to pick up Pashos atleast. I think he was pretty good.

i might be in the minority here, but i think Chad Pennington would be a GREAT QB for us if we draft a young QB, until the drafted QB is ready to play.....

I would have to agree with you....

Meaning you might be in the minority. :)

I liked Chad back when he was with the Jets but since his injury to his shoulder or whatever it was he has not been the same. I'm actually supprised he's still playing since he seems to only throw 10 to 15 yrd passes the majority of the time.

We need more accurate passers period. A Rookie to develope or start and a Vet. I think JC will be ok filling in unless he's picked up by another team. I wonder if the team has explored looking into any QB's through FA that might be decent as a Vet if JC gets picked up by another team? I know our asking price is a lot but considering he's better then what some teams already have he might get looked into and possibly a proposed offer slightly lower then what we are offering.

For one yr wouldnt be bad i guess... not like the Skins have a deep threat who can burn defenses consistantly anyways. m/o

With enough time to throw I think Moss and Thomas would have no problems getting deep.

I just want to see JC one more year, while we have a QB sitting and learning the Shanny system

Cornelius might as well start packing.

I don't mind the move. Despite his age, he plays the run well and is a good guy to run a rotation with.

Griffin has his 2010 salary guaranteed to him, so if he gets cut, it will be because he lost his roster spot in camp.

I like the guy, he's a pro. But we've seen enough of short passing around here for too long. He's coming off his 2nd shoulder injury to an already weak arm.

Daniels is simply terrible. He's got no quickness, no speed, he's as slow as a turtle. I just don't get it.

We're Playing a 3-4 now. we need LARGE DE's that can eat up blocks like Daniels can so that LBs can make plays. Does nobody understand this? If we dont resign Daniels as a stopgap then thats another position we'd need a starter in.

I've got no problem with bringing Daniels back on a one year deal. He can still get it done in a rotation.

The guy is as strong as a bull. Like the guys after you said, he's a 3-4 DE and a decent stop-gap.

yeah he'll still collect a check if he's cut but the skins will be off the hook for his contract salary cap wise in the future. Griffin, ARE, Collins, Betts, Randy Thomas (and portis if we can sign a RB or two) should all be cut to shed these stupid contracts for future years. Yay uncapped year!

Daniels is definitely best suited to be a 3-4 DE. I think he will excel in that role and I expect good things from him this season.

Daniels is so friggin strong...........jeez, if he could just work on that first step quickness in the offseason, he would be a probowler. I know thats asking alot at his age, but if he focused on quickness for a whole offseason, who knows.......

I don't think it will be just a one year deal. But that's just contractual semantics that I don't pretend to totally understand anyway

Noodle arms don't bode well with Shanahan. The way Shanahan does offense, he's going to be attacking all parts of the field, and Pennington's ability to go deep is poor. I'd rather keep Todd Collins.

Mentioned this to Matty earlier, but I think we're going to be offering Sproles a big contract come Friday morning

Ben Hamilton and Casey Weigmann will probably be here pretty quickly as well...or we may just wait for the rest of free agency to play out first knowing that we plan on signing them anyway. Like we did with Hunter Smith last year

Not sure where we are with Robinson, think he wants to be here more than we want him here (could be wrong though)

Dansby could take a while

If Robinson accepts a lesser deal to come here this could be a steal. I'd like to see this secondary take the field in '10
RCB- Hall
FS Rolle
SS- Landry
LCB Robinson

Rolle, IMO won't be here, he'll either stay in AZ or go to Miami like he's said he's wanted to. Now Ryan Clark or Darren Sharper...thats more likely and not bad at all for us. And for any people out there that think Sharper's to old or isn't worth the money, just ask the saints, or look at Brian Dawkins and how he's still going at 38 (or 37 I'm not sure but he's up there)

I think Sharper or Clark would be good 1-year deals. Although, I believe both are going to want longer contracts and a lot of money. But, getting either of them would be great.

I agree that he has done bad things in the past. But he seems to have gotten his act together. And he played some pretty good ball with the Cards, good ball that he could have played for us.
