If it follows the book Rick won't kill Shane but someone close to Rick will. Also in the book Shane didn't even make it out of chapter one.
I must say also the last two episodes have rekicked started this franchise.

I feel like a lot of shit is going down before this season is over.

Really good episode tonight. Rick gave Shane the come to Jesus. Pretty awesome. But I don't think Shane is anywhere near done. It's getting crazy. 3 episodes left this season....

To be honest when I saw the Govenor for the first time my immediate thought for casting was Danny Trejo, we'll see how this guy works out. I'm very curious to see who they cast for Michonne.

I'm absolutely loving this half of the season. That tension between Shane and Rick is pretty crazy. Would be something if Carl had to do it...

The show is not for the squeamish I will admit to that. Only saw five seconds of it and really, it isn't for the squeamish.

Yeah the 2nd half of this season is moving at a much better pace. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire latest episode.

mredskins 02-27-2012 10:21 PM

Yes I agree it has picked up. I am loving it!

I'm guessing this season ends with Shane getting a bullet. Andrea has got an ass kicking coming as well.

They need to move on from the farm this season; if they go to the prison like in the books it could get really good!

Interesting because she's my least favorite character besides Dale. I feel like Andrea is almost laughable because she insists upon wearing her balls on the outside. Maybe it's just her acting, but it's like everything anyone suggests she's like: "Well, how about you add a little gunpowder to that chili you're making?" or "Walkers? Yeah, I've seen those before. Killed one with a butter knife? How about that bitches?!"

Her dialogue is just a little weak for me to have her be believable.

Yeah she's my least favorite character by far. It's like they want her to be the female Shane, and either she just can't pull it off as an actress or her character just hasn't been developed well enough by the writers. Maybe it's a mix of both.

I think the season will end on a cliffhanger of them leaving the farm. Maybe by getting overrun by a super herd or something. Just a guess.

When they (Rick and Shane) went to drop off that dude on Sundays episode was that a prison or a public works building? I didn't read the sign fast enough. If it is a prison that could be a prelude to what is coming.

I agree. I mentioned it earlier in this thread- there's really no way the farm can't get overrun at some point soon. With Herschel's younger daughter hell bent on suicide and Herschel back on the bottle, coupled with the Rick/Shane situation... It's gonna unravel here in the next few shows I think.

It makes me wonder how far the "town" is that the Governor will be at? I wonder sometimes too if a gang of actual humans will show up and give some false promises and the whole group follows them?

Well in the book the prison becomes a "town" or community if you will.

IF I am bing a spoiler jerk just say so and i will shut up but they really have not followed the book much so I am just using the book's storyline to try to predict what the show will do.

Well, I just saw an ad on AMC for this week's episode- just split second shots, but it looked like walkers overrunning a fence...

My prediction (and I've never read any of the comic books) is that the farm gets overrun some time in the next two episodes, and the season ends with them on the road, finding the Governor's town (Woodbury). Curtain closes on the season with everyone wondering just what this "town" will bring.

And of course someone important is gonna die before we're done for the season. Just my guess. Regardless, I think it's going to be an awesome finish.

GMScud 02-28-2012 12:22 PM

re: The Walking Dead thread (spoiler alert, read at your own risk)

Also, apparently this Governor becomes Rick's main antagonist next season, which has been Shane's role of late. So I think either Shane bites the bullet, or Rick and Shane become a formidable team against the Governor.

Have I mentioned I love this show?? I think when it's all said and done, I'll then go back and read the graphic novels.

Tsk tsk they are graphic novels.

I am joking but some people get all mad if you call them comic books. The PC name is Graphic Novel.

They said that? I don't remember.

I am also really bad at paying attention to TV shows I am always doing something on the side when watching them. During this episode Iwas sharping my kitchen knives.

Maybe the really good comic books deserve a better name than "comic books," but I think it's a discredit to actual novelists to call them "novels."

Anyway, regardless of what it's called, it's been adapted to some darn good TV!

Yeah right after Shane and Rick killed the two guards at the works facility, they inspected their corpses and commented that there were no bites on them, just scratches....

I don't know how closely this series follows Max Brooks' theories on zombies, but that would be extremely interesting if that were the case.

I agree! They are cutting into these zombies left and right there have to be some cross contamination. I could thouhg see and would beleive if they said it was only in their spit.
