I really hate how much Tana fumbles and wish he improves markedly this season. It's possible, right? Burress is (still) a touchdown machine. And I think he'd enjoy playing the Giants twice a year. Changing my mind then pass on Ocho and we should sign Burress. I can't remember who said Garcon is our #1 WR, but anyway I agree we've paid him like one. There's just no data or intuition to indicate he'll play like one. If he does our FO gets huge props. Regardless, I still hold to the notion Griffin will be best served by giving him the best (available) big target, especially for the end zone. Plaxico's eight touchdowns on limited action last year is pretty scary. The last time we had a WR catch 8 or more TDs in a season was 2005. And none of our WRs on the roster are big end zone threats. I realize we're not built to win it all today. But SanFran is, and that's why getting a TD monster like a motivated Randy Moss was brilliant. |

Just say no to Ocho

Re: Signing Ochocinco: Te gusta?
I like Chad Johnson. His antics are a bit silly and goofy, but he comes to play. When has he ever had an attitude problem or been a cancer? His antics are no different than what Clinton Portis used to do. I hope Johnson gets another chance in the NFL.

Ocho is about as washed up as this thread.

Re: Signing Ochocinco: Te gusta?
Why are people saying that Chad Johnson has nothing left? Clearly, he had one lost season in which he had problems learning the running routes pertaining to a brand new offense. Because of that, his opportunities were limited in that offense. That has nothing to do with his overall ability to contribute greatly or minimally to an NFL offense.

Because he's 34 and has issues learning a new system, more than likely his best days are in the past. |

Apparently you don't read. There have been numerous stuff posted up here about him never learning the playbook in Cincinnati OR New England and other players having to tell him where he needs to lineup at. If Mike doesn't put up with that crap from McNabb, what in the hell makes you think he's going to put up with it from CO? |

If you dont have the dedication and focus to learn the offense, then your overall ability doesnt matter. Come 'on man |
Re: Signing Ochocinco: Te gusta?
So The Goat, who started this thread advocating for Ocho has since abandoned than dream for a shot at Plaxico instead (see what I did there?), which begs the question you all must be asking "Why haven't you locked this thread yet??""
Easy answer...We must know if this Zoosk thing really worked for Capital Defense |

It's not that I don't read. I step into the conversation when it's being talked about presently, not ten or five weeks ago. Apparently he did know the playbook when playing for the Bengals because he was a starter and went to some pro bowls. In New England it was a different story. What does Mike Shanahan have to do with this? I don't want #85 in a Redskins uniform. |
