Any Richard Crawford fans out there? I think he's got really good coverage skills from what i've seen. Gave up a TD and a 2 last week, but was right there on both, just great throws. Also had a pick. He was a 7th rounder, looks like a keeper to me.
They do on Monday. Then as $ comes in the line will move around. The line opened at Washington -1, which is still saying they think Seattle is better. The money so far is on Seattle which is why it's moved 4 points.
No. On Monday they set the line where they think they will receive even action. Part of their evaluations may include team analysis but mostly it is based on superficial stuff that they know most bettors will use in their analysis plus spread history. So the line starts where they think the bettors will run action...or who bettors think is the better team. Not who they think is actually better.

Anyone else catch the breakdown on Sportscenter talking about the Seahawks corners being the 24th ranked secondary against playaction passing? Since that's the entire foundation of our offense, I like the odds of some big passing plays like we say vs Dallas on Thanksgiving. On defense I'm not scared of their wide recievers, but I also felt that way before Amendola made our secondary look like HS players a couple months ago so hopefully over confidence is not something we see the team expirience. Containing the Beast and Wilson in the pocket are the two keys on defense as is continuing to force turnovers to give our offense the short field.

Wouldn't it be crazy if we won? Man. I'd lose my shit. I'm not as nervous for this game as the Dallas game but whew. I can't wait til Sunday.

Gtothearry 01-03-2013 03:00 AM

I definitely think we can pull this game out. I'd even go so far 2 say if we get past this game I see no reason we don't get to the NFCC game.

The way Dallas ran against us makes me nervous for what Skittles could do to us. Wilsons accuracy could be tough as well. We've been bailed out by some bad qb's not hitting their target this year.

Just as many ? marks from our side for them as well though.

I hope Griffins play this week resembles the first few weeks. Anyways lets get a win! HTTR

Our defense has been playing dramatically better than it was when we made Amendola look like a star.

Crawford is just a rookie. He missed a lot of games this season because he was so low on the depth chart. I like the fact that he is returning punts. I wish he were returning kickoffs too. As far as his coverage skills, he'll improve as his career goes on. As a 7th rounder, he's showing that he is valuable.

We lost two of our front seven in the game. Any time you have back-ups it takes awhile to make adjustments. Haslett making quality game plans is one reason the D has improved but the continuity of the players every week is also significant. They know each others instincts and can make game time adjustments a lot more efficiently than earlier in the season.

1. Rodgers

I heard that too and just laughed. I thought it was Luck #5 and RG3 #6? Either way.

Maybe they were downgrading him based on his injury, which shouldn't be as much of a factor as they want it to be. Did they not see him run for 60 yards on Sunday night?? Plus it's based on the opponent, and everyone has a hard-on for Seattle's D.

Im happy to see this being reported, I don't want everyone jumping on the bandwagon, Id rather see Skins serve them crow. Redskins O has been playing up to, and overcoming every opponents D they have faced. If Seattle D is as good as some say then Im very excited to see what our O will do. RG3 will most likely be 99% Sunday! Furthermore, Skins D looks to be gelling as well.
To Seattle, I say bring it!!!

RGIII's stock has dropped dramatically, even as we continue to win games. I understand his injury, and last game he missed a couple throws he normally makes, but still he has the best rookie passer rating, and only 5 ints.

I admit that I expected a far different performance Sunday night (passing wise) but his value is more than just the individual pass plays. He's there pushing, and prodding and exhorting the team and individual players.

Mike and Mike are OG Redskins haters. Golic, former Eagle, and Greenberg, a New York guy-Jets fan. I have never heard them give anything but begrudging respect to anything Redskins, and only after the fact. When given the opportunity the two have always picked against the Skins or their players.

I was under the impression it was mostly due to their view of Seattle's D more than anything.

I wouldn't say they are non believers, I've heard them both gush about RG3 on more than one occasion this season.

It's all about TD passes first and passing yards second for a lot of so called "Analysts". RG3 hasn't been great at the former lately and the latter all year. He's a beast when it comes to QBR though. And wins for that matter! Maybe he'll see this and use it as motivation.

I think the legend of the Seahawks defense is being largely overblown. Since Halloween they have faced (in order) Christian Ponder, Mark Sanchez, Ryan Tannehill, Jay Cutler, Ryan Lindley, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Colin Kaepernick and Sam Bradford. Not really a murderers row of QB there. I'd put RG3 ahead of all of them. Not to mention, the best back they faced in that group was Matt Forte who has been dinged up all season or Frank Gore who got 6 carries because Seattle put up 28 1st half points.

Not discounting that Seattle has a decent defense but some are making them out to be the second coming of the 85 Bears and they need to pull up a little.

Im curious to see how those speed players are going to do on our crap field of painted sand. Planting, making a cut, ect are all a bit different at fedex, especially coming from their surface in Seattle.

^^^ He had an interesting response to the question "who was the toughest you faced" saying it was tougher to face a good QB than a good WR. According to Wilson, an average QB with Megatron is not as scary as an average WR with Tom Brady. Makes sense to me, but I never thought of it that way.

Been wondering about him lately ... at the bye he was relaying some real doom and gloom about our D, how London wasn't talking to Haz, the D coaches were bickering, etc.

Since then I have read quite a few articles commending Haz and the coaches that quote players saying Haz has really done a great job, Haz quoted as saying Fletch is the smartest football player he's coached, etc.

Just wondering if the inside scoop matches the love being spread in the paper and, if so, what caused the turnaround b/c his earlier reports made it sound pretty much unfixable. They had me really depressed.

Sometimes all it takes is one guy making some changes and relationships heal up. I mean the story is well known that after the buy Haz just mixed it all up and changed the basic approach. Maybe he changed his style of leadership too.

Well, I think Haz has always had a lot of respect for Fletch as a player. And I wouldn't say Fletch wouldn't talk to Haz just that things were strained.

I think allowing Fletch to be a bigger part of the game plan has helped. I don't know but it looks like Haz is now coaching/behaving with less insecurity. I don't mean job security necessarily. I mean more like he's willing to listen other coaches/players without feeling it's a knock on his ego.

As I understood it anyway, the tension was more on the offensive side. But you'd have to ask HTTR247 for his own perspective

Re: Seahawks Redskins Rookie Showdown

1) You have to be an idiot to think they actually hate RG3

2) They've each praised/picked the Redskins many times

3) I believe Golic had them at 7-9 this year, which is better than a lot of fans here predicted

4.) The ranking (RG3-6th) was confidence picks based on their feeling on team's chances to win, not how good the particular QB is vs. another

5.) Off camera, I don't care for Greenberg at all (have said this before)

6. Golic is one of the smartest sports guys (NFL in particular) you'll ever meet. It's a shame that people don't recognize how much he understands about the game

7. If you think this is me just blindly defending something from ESPN because I "used to collect paychecks from them" well fine think what you want to think, just don't throw out bullshit lines likes "they don't like RG3, everyone knows that"

8. I rarely watch/listen to Mike and Mike-not my cup of tea
