re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Punch It In, you do have a point, but when Cap'n Kirk did go in, he went 4-11 (or was it 10?) and something like 30-odd yards. Can we PLEASE give the Number 1 defense in the league some credit here, too?
The Seahawks aren't the Browns. And I'm sorry, I have no problem with Shanahan giving the guy who carried the team to the playoffs the opportunity to try and work it out through the pain and find a way to win. I just don't. That said, screw the 'Hawks now. I like Wilson and can't even root for him any more because of how dirty those effers played last night. They have been upgraded to Cowpoke- and Iggles-level hate. Eff them. |
re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
I already hated them because of the previous two playoff wins over us, plus last year's dirty game. Just add another log onto the fire.
I work with a Seattle fan too. |
re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Twitter reports from HTTR24_7 suggest RG3 is out for 2013 campaign... Not good news

Only the Redskins, seriously only the Redskins. |

Saw that. Oh boy!! There's going to be some serious explanations that need addressing. |

I wouldn't trust anything until someone credible like one of the local sports beat guy or Schefter/Mort/Clayton tweets about it. |
Griffin is out for 2013 ?? What??
|
A.d tore his whole knee and came back a year later, I seriously doubt griff is out that long.

Httr 24-7 is reporting he's out for 2013 He's been pretty reliable but let's hope he's wrong on this one |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Slow down, lots of reports out there. We're working to get the correct one

Jesus, .man this team is ****ing shake bit I swear
By the time Kirk got in it was way too late, you cant go there, there was no hope at that point.
They were only down ten. There were 7 minutes left on the clock. I don't buy that there wasn't any hope, and think it's a disservice to the facts when we ignore just how good their Defense is.
They are NOT the Browns.
So if Grif misses 2013 your still ok with this?
I don't think that happens. I think at this point no one knows. I think at this point everyone is assuming the worst, and it's magnified because they lost. But let's just assume it's the worst for the sake of argument. Adrian Peterson blew out his knee at FedEx on 24 December 2011 and everyone wrote him off as done. Yet these type of injuries aren't what they were ten years ago and Robert's work ethic is just as intense and serious as Peterson's, so I see no reason why he can't recover completely and be back next season the same as Peterson. So yes, I'm fine with it. |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
i seriously cant take it if he is out for the year. im gonna have a hard time with that...

Guess Rex will be around for another season.

don't want to jump the gun, but IF he misses the season, look on the bright side - cousins will get tons of great experience. i, for one, have complete faith in kirk

It is what it is, if he is gone for all next year I think it's better for us to know now instead of him getting hurt in the 1st game next season. Have all offseason to prepare and tailor offense around Kirk.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
MD checking in.
Although it was apparent RGIII was not "right" even from the start of the game, he gave us our best chance to win. He's still one of the best passers in the game without his legs. I regret nothing about watching our franchise QB who just turned us around from worst to first in a single season trying to win a playoff game for us. He's a true leader and this knee will heal up and we'll be even better next season when we get half of our defense back from injury and hopefully sure up that safety spot, plus some weapons on offense like Davis and hopefully Helu. After a division title and 10-win season, things are still looking up in our future. We had a ton of what should have been devastating injuries to our success and still won 7 straight to win the division and make the playoffs. I'm more than satisfied with this season. It has been amazing. I have not been this excited about the Redskins since our 1991 season. Next year, we have the potential to be that '91 team, dominating everyone. I'm fine with the season ending now. Griffin would try everything he could come up with to get on the field if we were playing next week...and I'm glad he won't have to put that knee under any more stress. Time to rest it and let it heal. Robert, we're not disappointed in yesterday's loss, we all thank you for the amazing rookie season you just had. Lets take care of yourself now and do it all again in September. We want you around for as long as possible. Thanks for the memories, from this season and for years to come. HTTR!
I'd kinda slow down there with that opinion. That was one of the best teams in the history of the NFL. The future looks bright, but we still have a lot of holes, that team had no holes. |

Don't start this, on any given play a player can get hurt and be out for a year. |

Snyder might want too but he won't at this point, but you can bet he's mad as hell |

3pm presser |

Feel bad for causing such an uproar. Again, HTTR_24-7's info may be wrong. Just wait until 3pm to hear the true results

Shanahan has a presser at 3.....no doubt it will be completely discussed.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
RT @MattFaulconer10: Fred Smoot on the Fan reporting that he "heard from people in the building" that RG3 has a torn ACL / PCL. Confirming @HTTR24_7 report.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Smootsmack can confirm that Smoot is at least partially right.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Looks like Cousins will start the season in 2013. If Kirk's playing lights out, we're 9-1, and RGIII's healthy by week 11... do we roll with Kirk or start Griffin?
