It was funny because King peacocked himself walking down the fan side to let everyone know he had arrived.
Great thing about camp: 1. awesome for kids 2. cool to be that close to the team running plays, your literally right on the field with them divided only by a yellow rope 3. Milfs, really good selection Grinding gears about camp: 1. People who go and talk about work with their buddy from work all day not watching the practice. 2. Adults who arrive 45 mins after it begins, stand behind you and complain they cant see
Were you there today? Damnit, I should've checked, I checked out early from work today and took a couple of friends down there to see the afternoon practice. I love that they let the kids walk and talk with the players on the field after practice was over, if nothing else they provided an awesome moment for a kid to meet one of their idols. The thing I didn't like was at the end when RG3 came over to my section to sign autographs, everyone was treating him like a piece of meat, shouting crap trying to get his attention, I mean he's gracious enough to give his time and sign a crapload of autographs, do you really have to treat him like a caged animal too? I was glad to see that the players spent more time chatting with kids and signing autographs for them than they were for adults, it's pretty embarrassing to see how grown men act around not just an athlete, but a person, of RG3's caliber. |

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Excited we'll get to see the rookies against they're top offense if only for a few drives. If they do get serious playing time this year we need to be prepared to take some limps.

It was a great day. |
I don't even have a problem with RG3 being eager. It's just the way he's wired. It's a big part of what makes him great.
Right. And if holding him back a little makes him that much more hungry on September 9th against the Eagles...even better. |
Griffin is going to destroy Philadelphia.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Something I did notice yesterday was Leribus not dressed and was wearing like a knee brace. He just stood around looking goofy. McRib looks like a cross between Chum Lee from Pawn Stars and Grimace.

LOL he does look a little like Chumlee. And he was out because the day before he got his knee hyper extended in practice. |

Can't wait to see the rookies play. Even though rookie DB's usually struggle their first year I hope they can have half the impact last years rookies had. Reed and Jenkins should be exciting players as well. |

My only concern with Reed and Thompson is their health. I hope we use them wisely and not too much. Rambo though was my favorite pick of the draft. And I keep forgetting we drafted Amerson who is doing very good in camp. But as we mentioned earlier, just because your great at practicing doesn't mean your great at playing. |

After last season, RGIII has lost all credibility when it comes to his health. He's shown that he is willing to sacrifice everything(including the future) to get on the field. I don't buy it and chances are Mike doesn't buy it either. Shanny learned the hard way last season. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
yeah i am on Mikes side as well

The flip side to this is that mike doesn't have Roberts knee so he really doesn't know. That's the gamble to this business especially at QB. |

He is a 3rd Down Back only unless he gets the chance and shows something as PR/KR. I can't see him beating out a healthy Roy Helu, Jr. and it doesn't look like he's the coaches' first choice for PR or KR. Right now, he's in a tough position. He needs to get healthy and do something to stand out in the exhibition games. |

yeah. cooley said that a player gets one chance to have some input on whether he plays injured or not. if you lie and say you are okay then aggravate your injury . . .you never get the benefit of the doubt from the coach again. im not sure if he was talking specifically about shanny or football coaches in general. but yeah, rg3 needs to chill. honestly i wouldnt start him until after the bye. starting the season 2-2 under cousins w a bye week to fully install RG3 sounds best for the long term goal. rg3's knee is not going to make it past 5 years at this rate and they way he pushes himself ... |

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
After watching RG3 throw yesterday, I have zero concerns and he will be absolutely ready for the season opener. He was out there going full speed. Watching him in drills roll out and throw on the run, he looked like a beast out there. Full cannon arm, balance, saw even like a roll, jump throw...He looked great.

Last week several observers commented that RGIII was running with a slight limp. Was this true when you saw him? |

I didnt see a limp and this was only in drills. Watching him in these sprint out throws, only thing next is contact. I was actually surprised to see him working that hard. |

good read cult but did kirwan say Josh Morgan missed all division games last year? maybe he meant PG?

Pretty good read. Still makes me nervous to start a rook at FS as the last line of defense. We'll see some costly mistakes to be sure, but hopefully Rambo is solid for end of the season/playoff run. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Yeah that's what I think he meant but that still doesn't make sense. Maybe he meant dezmon briscoe...

Can be hard to recognize/decipher a limp when a player is wearing a big brace. |

M. Williams made me nervous. Rambo makes me much less nervous. Besides Williams gave up way to many of those plays and he never got any better. I got a feeling the rookies are going to be huge for us this year. |

Well, can't be worse than Madoodoo Williams. I think of Williams last year as having a rookie, but slowly declining instead of slowly ascending. |

i would give his ligaments and tendons and all that other stuff i know very little about as much time as possible to heal, strengthen and re-attach. im easily scared. i would be overly cautious. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
If he's got the green light from the doctors, who is anyone else to say when he should play? Holding him out due to fear is just silly.
