Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
It's actually not fair though to the Bucs in this game because a number of the redskins on defense were starters last year and Amerson is probably going to start sooner rather than later this season.

Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
LOVING the depth this year. I know we have a few starters playing, but hey, the score should look like this if we do.
Love he's completing a few, but DAMN, Pat White throws the ugliest ball I've ever seen, lol! |

There was a wall of Bucs between him (standing beyond the 5) and the goal-line. I don't know how he did it, but I agree - as good as he runs - the way he throws is equal in "badness". |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Lets just hope no redskins get MHRSA (knock on wood)
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
The best part is that they are using a "vanilla offense" for the pre-season and kicking ass, wait till the season begins, Garçon might be right that this could be the best offense ever.
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Pat White might be a Jet, Raider or Bill as soon as he's released.
|
And that says a lot when pierre played with Peyton
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
We are at a point where scouts are watching our preseason games knowing we will be cutting some decent players. That hasnt happened in a long time. Finally have some good depth.
|
We should really keep Jose gumbs and ditch dejon. The kid can play.
|
Jamison is Short!

Can't say I know much about Jose Gumbs. What does he do well? |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Meanwhile, Tebow has been sacked 4 times out in 9 plays.....LOLOL
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Man it would great to move a guy or 2 for a pick or player. Jamison is legit, another good young back.
So are we going alfmo, helu, and Thompson as the rb? Are we gonna keep 3 or 4? I really see a wash with royster and Williams and Jamison will prob go to ps. |

Man this is exactly what the hoody deserves. I know Brady is just shaking his head watching that shit |

I don't know much about him either. I've watched every preseason game though and from the PT he has received he has flown around the field making a lot of tackles. Looks like a hard hitter with good range to me. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Blah I love Nick Williams.
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
I see that we have alot of comments about our depth. While I think that the scouting department has done a good job of getting the kinds if players we need in the building, I think our coaches have done a great job of getting them ready to play.
I remember that last year a bunch guys wanted Has fired, but you gotta give it to him for helping turn this thing around. He has somethings up his sleeve this year. Morris has done a good job getting guys morivated and teaching technique. Slowik has put together an excellent (rivaling that of the best in the league) line backing core. Offense well it speaks for itself. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
That's what I'm saying - Nick Williams is a solid wideout and looks like he can return punts. The only thing is - I thought if he were faster that was an automatic touchdown.
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Nick Williams. Woah. He's got that quick shifty factor that Welker and Cruz have.

Maybe the Redskins can stash him on the practice squad. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
I got forbath as a fantasy sleeper kicker. Gotta him on a couple squads. Can't wait to ball on in fantasy this year
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
This reminds me of the strike years when are replacement players played better than everyone else's.
|
Kai's kickoffs have been good depth too

I read an article that said he was really working on the depth of his kickoff this offseason as they were pretty week last season. Looks like he's made some good improvement. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
That kick would have been good from 50+

John Kiem wrote about the secondary battle today. Looking at the SS position you have BM then Doughty, Gomes, and Gumbs which all provide about the same benefit to thier games... Play well in the box making tackles so his competition is those 2 guys. He may have to beat out both depending on teams play which I think is why RD gets the spot again. Good teams play and a dependable tackler is why I think RD is coming back again. |

Yeah, he made a good play breaking up that pass and almost intercepting it in a play in the Bucs' last drive. Hmmm, you guys may be on to something. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Randle El needs some public speaking training, probably somewhere closer to Pittsburg!
|
Why does Theisman keep calling it the "ride option"??
|
Randle El needs some public speaking training, probably somewhere closer to Pittsburg!
It seems like we got stuck with him b/c they don't want him. Stutters shouldnt be tv and he still says, "I'm sitting here with..." When he is clearly standing. He's about as good a sideline reporter as he was a player for us. |
Defensive points allowed in preseason:
21 13 7 6 The offense has been running well, but the defense has been very good as well. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
why is El on the skins sideline even? he wasn't a good player here, and he's not a good sideline reporter.
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
looks like royster is the best player to probably not make the roster (williams too). that's a couple good #3 backs.
|
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
Is the general consensus that Thompson will make the team and is more valuable than Royster?
Does Keiland make the 53? I want Lewis on the PS squad. Good preseason redskins. Now lets get RG3 under center and do this. |

Between Theisman and Kenny Albert I try not to listen. How can 2 guys who only cover skins games during preseason, have terrible and meaningless discussions. Joe is the new Huff. |

Royster will make the team. Nobody beat him out. CT will make the team as a return man. Somebody other than a RB will need to go to make room for CT. |
Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
I know that Royster or Williams are the safe bet to keep in addition to Thompson, but I'll be honest Jamison would be a nice addition. I'm afraid that we might lose him in the PS.

Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread
I just tuned in. Any notable injuries? ??
