Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
I've been a die hard fan forever (30+ years), but after last night, the Redskins just freed up my Holiday season of a few hours each week. I'm done watching these guys until next year. Another year of no meaningful games in December.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
I just feel like Shanny has no control over the team, just dont like his style. Im over it. But i fear what could be coming next. All i know is i think Will Muschamp should be d coordinator.
You must have not caught the end of the game when Tirico and Gruden were hammering Griffin. Gruden went so far as to suggest that if there is a coaching change, the new coach may prefer Cousins over Griffin.
Thanks for stirring the pot on national television, asshole.
I heard that nonsense. But in a sense it is a fair assessment. A new HC/OC has to evaluate and implement a pro system. Kirk may be better suited but Rob could eventually be better. If grounding Robert and humbling him helps him be a better QB, than that's what we need. Rob has to know we are the redskins not the robskins. He needs to read his book of mantras and cliches and realize how to be a team player and not be #1 all the time. If he doesn't get it- F* him. Trade him for 2 1st's and we can get back to working toward a Super Bowl and we will be better off. I see Nick Foles progression and makes me see all the missed opportunities to bring Kirk along. We lived and died by Kyle's use of Robert and have nothing to show for it and have to rebuild all over with new coaching. |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Why run Helu on 4th and short? You have Morris, a guy that never falls backward and always gets more yards after contact, and a damn good FB that can pound the rock... And you use Helu in that situation?
It's getting harder and harder to justify Mike staying HC next season... |

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
As for Gruden, what did he way that wasn't true? He just basically said that a new coach may not want to run the current offense. If that's the case then who runs a pro style offense better? Fair commnets by Gruden. He might have been laying down his opinions to Snyder if he's interviewed for the job.
Where's the evidence that Cousins runs the pro style offense better? One game against a garbage football team? Look at the numbers. He's thrown one interception for every eleven pass attempts. Who cares if the ball comes out quick if it flutters to the intended target? |

Trent Richardson was traded for a 1st. Plenty of teams need Robert. We need him. We need Kyle and mike out and someone to grow Robert and keep him in te pocket. Rob is valuable. He is marketing, jersey/merch sales, and puts asses in seats. Cleveland, Jacksonville, minn, AZ, Houston- plenty of teams would use rob to equal and better results. Only in Washington would we abuse and misuse him. That's like taking Kate upton and turning her into a street brawler. |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
This is all so horrible I can't deal with it right now. I don't even want to watch football on Thanksgiving. I don't think I could bear to watch the next Redskins game. I just want the season and the Shanahan era to end.
In my depressed state, I have convinced myself that, if the Shanahan's stick around much longer, RGIII's career will end like Joe Theismann's - in a heap on the field with a catastrophic leg injury. If Shanny is back next year, I may have to take a one season hiatus from Redskins football until his contract expires. But I keep hoping that it won't come to that. I tell myself that, surely, Dan Snyder must realize by now that this ruin we call the Redskins under Shanahan cannot be rebuilt by the same architect who is responsible for its collapse. At least, that's what I keep telling myself. But I don't believe it. |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Asked directly if Griffin shouldn't be playing because of the knee injury he sustained in a January playoff loss to Seattle, Brooks confirmed.
"I don’t think he should be playing," he said again. "You can see it. Everybody can see it, everybody can see it." Against the Niners, Griffin completed 17 of 27 passes for 127 yards and an interception. Griffin took a lot of hits in the game, including two sacks from Brooks. "He’s a man, he has the heart of a warrior and is going to go out there and play regardless of the circumstance," Brooks said of RG3. "Everybody can see it. Everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be playing." |

21 years for me and I'm w you, F this team. I'll follow them but I won't be waiting on the couch for kickoff that's for damn sure |
Josh Wilson was in a walking boot this week, they have no depth anywhere...
So why not put in Amerson? Wilson was clearly slowed by his injury. The season is a lost cause, so if you want to accelerate Amerson's development, he should be starting the rest of the year.

Imo it was the Dallas game, he was done and we all saw it. He tore that knee against Baltimore IDC what they say |

Did Nick Williams and Lance Lewis even hit the field last night? I know they are green, but what about taking a chance when you barely had any.

Vinny Cerato on 105.7 in Baltimore just now: "They still blame me? We (#Redskins) were never 3-8.. We never had only 30 yds".. @dcsportsbog Cerrato on Shanny: "It looks like the players have tuned him out." |

agreed, makes zero sense. And fuck it, why isnt Chase Minnefield taking Josh Wilson spot? |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
The Redskins have played 11 games and no changes have been made on the OL, I know we lack talent there, but man make a change. Make players accountable, maybe a benching might wake some of them up.

They have to make that change this week. Wilson and Davis are done!! Cut Davis now!! |

Why must Redskins players leave the Redskins on bad terms? Arrington, Pierce, Rogers, Davis. I swear, its like unless a player retires, if they leave the Redskins, they hate each other. |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Fire Everyone.
Seriously, I wanted to give Shanny that 5th year (with a 1 year extension) ... but its clear that he's done. Team has stop responding. I also think, Rg3 needs to be sit down for the year. Inactive, let the guy heal. He's just not the same, its very clear. Give him a full offseason, let him heal and lets get this thing going next year. |

Look at the numbers. He's thrown one interception for every eleven pass attempts. Who cares if the ball comes out quick if it flutters to the intended target?
Well look at it this way. When Cousins gets in the game they go into pro offense mode. So obviously the coaches, who see these two everyday, think Cousins can operate that type of offense better. Cleveland has a good defense. They had him throwing the ball all over the place. What does that say to you? Also...I'm not going to judge Cousins in mop up duty. I would look at it when he gets a full week of practice. I don't know who's better. But at least for this year, I've seen enough of RG3. |

Sounds like a bit of revisionist history. Cleveland had the 23rd ranked defense, and the 25th ranked offense last season. |

Man. Look at that foot placement. That's a pure kick; got the frank, beans and the taint. No pleasing the missus this week. |

How the hell do the refs miss that, or the fact that Smith drove him into the ground on the INT?

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
I know one thing, if we are keeping Rex on the squad his coaching is rubbing off on III. He looks more like the other RG III than himself these days.
Fire them all and start over. I want coaches who can coach. They brought all these players in and built this team now they were auppose to coach them up and win. What do we get.. More of the same. The year Zorn was fired we finished 4-12. So if we weren't 3-8 Vinny then you won all the games for the year before week 12 and lost all the rest. Bravo |
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
I'm betting Sham starts Cousins to prove it isn't him at fault but the QB. It will happen.
|
Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
If we do see Cousins (which I'm starting to think we won't) it won't be before the Dallas game. The ship's sinking but it doesn't look like anyone's trying to jump off yet. I don't think Shanahan has anything to prove, he's got to be stupid if he doesn't already know he's not going to have a job here next season.
