All depends on how you want to look at it. Sure the Skins have stunk for the most part since '92, but those 3 SB's are still relevant and can't be taken away.
The 3 Super Bowls cant be taken away but they arent relevant anymore. Its like saying the StL Rams or Bears Super Bowls are relevant today, they arent. 22 years is a long time and the NFL and the Skins are totally different now.

I've gone rant on Snyder many times (probably one of the few who rant positive on him) BUT a short version is, Snyder has been through about 5 iterations of trying to get it right, each time letting a little more of himself be lost and more of football minds run the show. I know until he wins SB's many fans will see him as the 1999-2004 owner but for me, I see positive steps each iteration, and I think we are finally at the point where the next stages are moving into the upper echelon of teams. This all is offseason stuff though.

pessimistic/optimistic lets all agree

It's Redskins Kickoff in less than 48 hours!!!

GO SKINS!

my old sig used to be a scout comment on bulaga in the nagatives section of the report-
"fails to lock onto defenders, instead prefers to violently shove them to the ground and then look for others."

about as bad ass as it gets imo

Tough loss for GB. I hate saying "what if", but I feel that in last night's game GB got bad luck in some areas (losing Bulaga and Lacy) and shot themselves in the foot in other (dropping two INTs and turning the ball over on downs in the 3rd quarter).

That guy who replaced Bulaga had a horrible game. Poor Aaron Rodgers.

Re: Around the League: WEEK 1 Baby!

Rodgers didn't have a good game regardless. Bitching out his rookie center, not running for a clear first down when he had the chance, etc. I didn't like the Packers plan either, they played it too conservative.

I know right! Felt like watching shotgun formation Marty ball. Delayed handoffs on 1st and 2nd down and some slants and curls on 3rd.

Re: Around the League: WEEK 1 Baby!

From Business Insider:

Microsoft's Cortana, the Windows phone virtual assistant that correctly predicted 15 of 16 World Cup knockout stage games, is back for the NFL season.
The predictions come from a model by Bing Predicts that takes into account 2013 results, offensive and defensive stats, margin of victory, location, weather, and public sentiment (which is meant to help identify real-time factors such as injuries).

Since the model just picks a winner and doesn't predict a score against the spread, the hit rate should be well over 50%.

Cortana did well at the World Cup, and even picked Germany over Brazil in the semifinal when other statistical models had Brazil as the heavy favorite. So if you're the gambling sort, it might be wise to take these picks into account.

Here are the Bing Predicts odds for Week 1:

Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks — Seahawks win (74.2% chance)
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons — Falcons win (61.4% chance)
Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis Rams — Rams win (67.4% chance)
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers — Steelers win (70.2% chance)
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles — Eagles win (75.4% chance)
Oakland Raiders at New York Jets — Jets win (62.9% chance)
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens — Ravens win (59.8% chance)
Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears — Bears win (64.4% chance)
Washington Redskins at Houston Texans — Texans win (51% chance)
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs — Chiefs win (64.4% chance)
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins — Patriots win (61.4% chance)
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Buccaneers win (56.6% chance)
San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys — 49ers win (68.8% chance)
Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos — Broncos win (77.8% chance)
New York Giants at Detroit Lions — Lions win (61.4%% chance)
San Diego Chargers at Arizona Cardinals — Cardinals win (58.2% chance)

So I was calling for us to draft RT Seantrel Henderson out of the U. We did not. Instead of Ted effin Bosler we could have had a starting RT with a huuuuge upside. He instead will be coming out of the 7th rd to start for the Bills tomorrow.

Since these Houston and the Skins are the most closely matched teams this week, per Cortana, it could be a very entertaining game (or very ugly). Either way, I'm eagerly looking forward to another season of Redskins football.

Indy at Denver might be a lot closer game than the computer projects it to be at this point in the year. Indy can win this game.

Oakland at the Jets could be the ugliest game of the week (if ours isn't). I wonder if the computer could project the ugliest game of each week? That might be interesting.

Re: Around the League: WEEK 1 Baby!

People are using words like formidable to describe the Houston defense -- I guess we'll have to wait and see but isn't their secondary worse than ours? It doesn't matter how good Watt is, he can't cover Garcon, DJax, Reed, and Roberts. I don't know that they have 4 people that can. This game is going to be all about RG3 making the reads b/c there is no way someone isn't going to be open.

Still nice to see the Cowboys in late season form. Though with that said, if the NFL really wants new blackout rules maybe they should blackout games where away fans make up no less than 40% of the attendance.....actually on second thought maybe thats a bad rule (*cough* Fed Ex Field *cough*).

Reason #382 Not to Build a Big A** Stadium.
