I was thinking the same thing. Jones, wrinkled ass, plastic surgery face looks like he's wearing a Halloween mask. What a media whore. He'll do anything to put that pathetic grill on TV.

Jerry cant be down there telling his head coach Romo is fine...Romo obviously wasnt fine, he fumbled, almost threw a int to Breeland. Romo is fragile and we gave everybody the blueprint: Blitz Romo, he's injury prone, you can knock him out

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

Not sure if anyone saw the replay of that last play. Had Romo stood in the pocket and just hung in there, he had #11 wide open for a TD. Somehow Riley ended up covering him. But it looked like the pressure really got to Romo. He turned his back to scramble and missed it. I think he didn't want to get hit again.

We left a ton of plays on the field as well, I think your right though...Romo def had his head on a swivel...you just had that feeling he was going to choke

So , is Colt your new #1 QB or do you bench him for RGIII ,and are you trading Cousins ?

No. Colt is probably the new #2, and you wouldn't get jack shit for Cousins at this point. He'll be gone in the off-season.

dream scenario, we move Cousins and a 4th for Mark Barron Safety out of Tampa

RG3 is the starter obviously, with Colt the number 2

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

What I like about McCoy last night is he didn't make the game killing turnover. Yeah he can't push the ball down the field like KC can, but he didn't hurt the team either. Had KC been in there last night, some of those long passes might be TD's. But you'd have to factor in he might give it back to Dallas a few times and that kills momentum, field position and so on. Right now McCoy has earned the #2 but I still bring back all three guys next year.

Colt may be a good option against the vikings because he may not lose you the game and it gives you the bye week to get Griffin and the offense on the same page for a week of practice for Tampa Bay.

Lots of gushing over Colt from skins fans and lots of mocking from nonskins fans. I don't get it. We had two delays of game and blew 4 of our 6 timeouts on alignment/play call/play clock issues? We had a busted play where colt was the only one not on the same page as everyone else, assuming that was the play he referenced calling wrong in the huddle during post game?

The people that think he's better than Griffin are ridiculous.

Are people really making a fuss out of this? Sheesh. Get a life. Ironically, McCoy was probably being rushed to the main ESPN guys. Also, given how the league is fine happy with pressers and whatnot, I'm not surprised this happened.

The media did kill RG3 for wanting to come back during the Seattle game, yet Romo is a f*cking hero for doing it.

I've had dealings with Tony Wyllie, and during those times he was a nice, respectable guy and I have nothing negative to say about him.

That said - we're a target. For multiple reasons. Snyder is universally despised, the team is battling the racism accusations, the team in general has been a laughingstock for 2 1/2 decades, etc etc etc.

So yes. The same people that always make a big deal are making a big deal out of it. Should surprise no one at this point.

Haslett really seems to have Romo's number, dialing up numerous zero blitzes. Having physical corners certainly helps, but for all the criticism that we heap on Haslett, let's give him credit for an excellent game plan last night.

If you're a skins fan and frequent certain sites this is the news you're reading about.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why fans frequent those sites that are clearly out to attack the organization, for whatever reason. Being a fan is punishment enough, frequenting sites that make it a point to go after the team (and its fans in some cases) would seem to qualify you for a mental illness.

So true. I give Dan that much credit. The balls of Jerry to roll down on the sideline to tell Jason Tony is going back into the game. What a fucking putz.

Making a fuss? No. Pointing out unprofessional behavior? Yes. Tony was a bit out of line. You don't shove a reporter away like that. That's very unprofessional. I get it, it's hard dealing with the press at times but you simply have to act like a professional.

Quote straight from Jerry:

"I was here during the tail end of the examination and knew he planned to come back out and play if he were needed," Jones explained matter-of-factly. "Of course he was needed. I felt good that he could come back out. When he saw the opportunity he did. I told Jason that he would be back in."

I must admit, as someone who has been very, very harsh on Meriweather.... he played well last night.

I hope this is the new defense... lots of pressure and letting our young corners challenge people.

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

From reading cowboys message boards (it's a bad habit, but pays off in games like this) there are two things that crack me up.

1 - the amount of bitching they do about not getting any 'respect' from the media. everyone picked you. they ride your <you know what> long and hard every year. you have won one (1) playoff game since 1995. the amount of love you get from the media is ridiculous. but it's not enough for you? hah...

2 - they're bitching about Gruden and the way he covered the skins. i thought he was pretty matter-of-fact honest about how badly they were under performing, not playing up to their potential, and generally not executing. yes, as the game wore on and it became evident the Redskins showed up to play, he was a little more positive about some things, but i thought he was pretty harsh to start; justifiably so.

tshile 10-28-2014 11:13 AM

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

also they went from talking about how much of a sure-win this game was and how they were destined for greatness this year, to:
jones is a joke
garret needs to be fired
romo is a choker and omg look how well weeden runs the offense.

i don't think i've ever seen a fan base so whimsical and over dramatic, even our own. you would have thought that was for the division and the season was already over last night.

though to be fair i did find a few that gave Haslett's game plan, the young corners, and McCoy credit. a few.

2 things--Wylie pulled McCoy away AFTER he did the postgame deal with ESPN, the reporter he pulled him from was ESPN deportes, who still got his interview later...complete non-story...
--Question--On McCoy interception, Cowboy catches gets up makes an attempt to get up and run it out, gets hit while still in bounds(I believe by Garcon) fumbles out of the back of the endzone...why is that NOT a safety?? Cowboy defender clearly makes an attempt to get up and run...

A friend of mine made that point to me at halftime and I honestly didn't even consider it.

But you're right... it goes one of two ways. Either he never had possession and it's not a catch, or he had possession and it's a fumble out of the endzone.

I guess the case **could** be made that he had given himself up, but I don't know how you can come to the conclusion. Guy had stood up and got popped.

Should have been a safety. Just like the hold at the end of the game.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but we seem to get the short end of the stick on refs more often than not. Last night was atrocious.

I think thats why the replay took a lil while, I think they determined he didnt attempt to get up and run but was just insuring he was inbounds. I dont know but bang-bang play cliche applys here.

I didnt have a problem with it, more of a problem on the obvious no call holding call that the entire nation saw at the end of the game. Murphy was clearly held in the endzone
