Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
Thank God it was just a one year deal. Can they bring Maurice Harris back? I thought he played pretty decent last year. Although, I don't remember how his blocking was.

Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
disapointment - ready to give someone else a shot no doubt - get some fresh legs in there.

Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
He's done in DC and he knows it, that's why he shows no effort. Plus he is slow footed and can't get open at all, drops passes and can't block. He was a one hit wonder in Cleveland because teams knew they sucked and were an easy W so they just slacked off of him.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Poor choice scouting by the Skins here but good choice by the FO to give him a one year deal so we can move on cleanly next year. Sucks it didn't work out but this will give the opportunity for some other guy to step up. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
I'm honestly kind of surprised so many people thought Pryor was going to be good here. I shared the opinion of SkinsFaninOK : People slacked off on him because they knew it was cleveland. Anyone that thought Pryor was a fair replacement for Garcon, that's just laughable.... I doubt anyone here thought Pryor could replace Jackson....

Idk, I felt like majority opinion was that it was anybody's guess as to whether he would be a good replacement. I don't think anyone expected a guy still transitioning to wideout to put up better stats than Garcon or Jackson. At the minimum I was hoping his penchant for drops in Cleveland would be fixed but that definitely hasn't. And his run blocking has been terrible, as has been Doctson's. The way he tries to catch the ball (by trapping it into his chest) indicates a lack of coaching because that is how a lot of drops happen. At this point not only do we need an upgrade next year, I might think about upgrading at coach too. None of our young guys are developing the way they should be, and that reflects poorly on Ike Hilliard. |

His WR coach that year, Al Saunders. Hilliard inherited Garcon and Jackson. They were polished receivers. He isn't doing shit with anyone on this roster. I feel like this is the same bullshit we dealt with last year with our DBs coach. Gruden has to address this midseason!!! Last year was a wasted season because Gruden couldn't deal with disgruntled players (Ihenacho and Baker) and shitty coaching (DB Coach and Dline Coach). How long can we have receivers coming up 1 yard short on third downs? This is on Gruden now, he needs to address this NOW. |

Hillard had the luxury of having Garcon and Jackson last year, which also really helped to develop Crowder. But, I haven't seen much out of the younger guys. |

Per browns Mary Cabot, browns pursued a trade for Pryor Any good reason not to trade him? I think I would have taken a 4th for him... |

IDK why we kept him, he doesn't even play

Plus we've already paid 3/4 of his 6 mil salary, so we wouldn't have gotten much salary cap relief either. He's worth more than a 7th, especially if we have another injury. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
Addition by subtraction. He rid of him already.
Robert Davis needs playing time. BA can’t admit he f’d this up. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
Cabot is well connected w/ the Browns so I believe this. WTF are the Redskins thinking? This Pryor signing has been a total disaster. They don't even try to get him involved anymore. Might as well see what these young guys can do.

I agree...if he isn’t gonna see snaps...fuck it, trade him This is all Bruce Allen...too much ego and pride to admit he is wrong. So far his pride/ego has completely fucked up the cousins contract |

I did see him out there yesterday, but in terms of saying he was actually playing legitimate football, then that's a whole different story. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
BA is a clown, he is stubborn just like what happened with griff. Now with Kirk, Pryor etc.

Is it BA keeping him on the roster though? Who has final say over the roster? Thought it was a trifecta of Jay/Doug/Bruce.

by bruce you mean Dan. and By bruce you mean a bag of wind that does nothing but fuck up this franchise, ie: Dan. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
I dont see Pryor as a bad move, certainly not some kind of indictment on the organization.
I wish they had keep feeding him the ball for a few more weeks. Time of signing, it looked like a good 1 year deal. Not trading him? Who knows what they were offering for a second half rental. Receiving corps was kinda thinned to begin with. Pryor apologized for "being inconsistent" and "not focusing" but I would have kept giving him 6 targets/looks a game. My bottom line -- we could and should have gotten more out of him .. but who knows what happens behind the curtain. His apology Oct 28 may be telling that it was him more so than the skins for it not working out. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
i dont mind the pryor signing - i dont mind passing on a 6th or 7th for him also. I dont think i'd give him away for anything less than a 4th. They prolly recognize the athletic ability and want to give him more time. Unless drastic changes occur though i dont see him being resigned.

Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
At the beginning of the season, I would have thought our trio of wide receivers would've been Josh Doctson, Jamison Crowder, and Maurice Harris. Three young guns! I still think it will turn out that way. I was impressed by Harris the few times he saw the field last year. I was surprised when he got cut (and later signed to the practice squad.)
I think Harris has the tools to be an exciting receiver. I think all three have the potential. I think Ryan Grant is the most boring receiver we have ever had, but I appreciate the catches he's made for us this year. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
What I want to know is how he ever gained 1,000 yards in a season with the Browns of all teams.

So long TP, it was nice seeing you play like 3 full games. |
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
And to think that we turned down a low-round pick from Cleveland to take him off our hands. Smithers probably vetoed that move. Has there been a more forgettable Redskins FA? Perhaps Adam Archuleta.
|
Re: Terrell Pryor Sr.
I probably think they'll move on from him. He's certainly not worth 7 million. But who knows, maybe they offer him a small deal to come back.

Sure, I'd offer him vet min and the chance to compete for a roster spot. /sarcasm. |

Absolutely not...who coulda believed their was a more unproductive wr than Ryan Grant. |

Glad we got him on a one year deal. Now can we find a legit WR to go along with Doctson please?

I saw his name on the inactive list, but even if he had been active I would've forgotten about him. Thought I saw him in for 1 play against Minny lol. He's done here. |

I think he is going to see a specialist for foot problems. |

low round pick? where'd you hear that from? If they offered a 6th or lower, it should have been done. I assumed it was a conditional 2019 7th rounder .. |
