Sure we will take burrow
Or trade for a boatload of picks and let someone else take burrows. No way that scenario could play out in the Bengals favor.
That's a huge risk for Bengals because there is no guarantee that Bengals get Burrows, in fact i think its safe to say burrows wouldnt make it to the giants slot.

You mean 5th rounder. Bengals would want at least 3 1st rounders and them some. |

This makes no sense. Burrows wouldn’t make it past number two. |
This makes no sense. Burrows wouldn’t make it past number two.
Of course. That's one of the reasons I said dream on. Cincy would be foolish to make this trade. If for some odd reason they were to trade down, they would be passing on both Burrow and Young, and they would insist on getting a better package than this. This looks like a Giant fan's dream of how they could get Young, rather than anything that is actually being discussed. |
Re: Chase young discussion
The draft is is still months away and we'll have the number 1 overall non-qb pick. We're gonna get months of dissecting Chase Young.
Draft that man with a smile on your face. |

That's crazy talk. First of all, Cincy would be crazy not to simply take Burrow for themselves at #1. They need him badly. Secondly, neither Burrow nor Young is going to make it past the Skins at #2. If the Bengals take Young, then the Skins will either take Burrow or trade the pick for a king's ransom. |

In fact being tight with money means they would want the rookie deal and top passer.
And if they did let it be known that they were trading the pick, there are a few qb hungry teams, notably Miami, with a ton of draft picks to make a more enticing deal then what Gettleman would be able or willing to offer. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
Re: Chase young discussion
There are rumors that Rivera is calling Chase Young - the “PREDATOR”. If that rumor is true then I don’t see the Redskins taking a boatload of picks for our #2 slot.
As a defensive HC working with Del Rio, the two of them are drooling for Chase Young to play EDGE opposite Sweat, who started to come into his own in the last games. With much better coaching our 4-3 defense is going to be elite! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That would make 5 1st rounders like the 49ers but better (Manusky didn’t bring out the best in them) |

Do a quick Google search you'll find lots of stuff dated from the last year or so. The dreads make it a good fit though and I've also read that Rivera is a huge fan of Chase. |
Re: Chase young discussion
The only player I'd want if (and it won't happen) we traded #2 is Isaiah Simmons, he's a FREAK LB. Young is the guy tho

Re: Chase young discussion
Call Chase Predator call Montez Alien, but I look at Chase and I can see him having an impact similar to what Bosa did for San Fran, granted we don't have Richard Sherman but he can basically make it so we don't have to consistently blitz to generate pressure. Just get some backend help after that

We have Dunbar who when healthy is a top 10 CB |
We have Dunbar who when healthy is a top 10 CB
While this isn't a comment specific to Dunbar necessarily, 'availability' is a big part of the culture change needed around Redskins Park. This bullshit where you get a concussion in the third preseason game and then you sit out the entire year while collecting a multi-million dollar paycheck and contemplating your retirement, that shit has to end. Concussions are serious and it's a shame Reed can never stay healthy but you need your locker room to consist of guys who want to be on the field, will work their way back onto the field, will be capable of playing through some pain, etc. If they're going to be paid highly, they need to be available. Dunbar needs to stop having all these nagging problems or he needs to GTFO. |

I honestly think that at least some of it is 'I don't want to play but I'd like to still collect a paycheck-itis.' It needs to be weeded out. |

Re: Chase young discussion
I have a feeling Rivera is going to clean house. He's got no loyalty to any of these players and, if they have a track history of missing games, what reason would he have to make them part of the team he's trying to build?
I wonder who gets the AX? Norman? RK? Trent?
yeah, I don't see any way that Norman, Reed, Kerrigan and Paul Richardson stay on the roster under their current contacts, for starters. I think Trent SHOULD be traded, but not sure what ends up happening there. |

At the very least Norman and Richardson have to |
Re: Chase young discussion
I wonder who gets the AX? Norman? RK? Trent?
Richardson, Reed, Norman, Vernon Davis (probably will just retire anyway), Montae Nicholson all good as gone if you ask me. Kerrigan's consecutive start streak is a testament to the fact that he's the kind of character Rivera would like to build around culture-wise, so I bet he sticks. He's going to be a declining player but his hard working mindset is an asset to Rivera. You might be able to get him at a reduced cap number but this year we have so much cap space that I'm not even worried about it. And Trent has the pot history but he also has supreme talent and Rivera has been said to be making retaining Trent one of his top priorities. He will likely go with the blank slate mindset. If you come back we wipe it all clean and start fresh together. |
Re: Chase young discussion
Honestly, it would not surprise me if Kerrigan signs a very team-friendly deal to stay with the team.
Also, although a bit unrelated, I have hunch that (if he is able to play again) Alex Smith will re-work his contract to lessen his contract's cap hit for next year. |

If he really was this massive stoner in the vein of Ricky Williams or Eugene Monroe I don't think we'd be talking about it like it's a matter of when, not if. People seem to forget Trent was a team leader and a captain before he left. Those are titles you get by earning the trust of your teammates. Also anybody who's read about the way Ryan Kerrigan prioritizes taking care of his body would realize that's exactly the kind of team leader Rivera would love. Re: Chase young discussion
From the perspective here in Columbus, Ohio, I can say it is now 100% sure that the Bungles will pick Burrow. A southern Ohio boy who is a Heisman winner, National Champion, broke every NCAA quarterback record on the books and is an eloquent spokesperson ...... they have to take him. Fans would burn down the Bengals headquarters if they passed on him.

He's the real deal as long as he stays this hungry. I'd take him over Haskins and that's not a knock against Dwayne. |
