Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
If I'm a Dallas fan, I'm worried about my 40M QB.. Dak has been bad for about 4-5 weeks now and they continue to talk about his leg.. He should have had 4 picks yesterday if Davis and Fuller had hands.. With all of his weapons and great OL vs a bunch of backups on our DL... Not impressed with that Cowboys O
They scored one damn touchdown and it was off a turnover and started at our 41. And there was the whole acceptance of the penalty (which could have been declined leaving them at 3rd and 5). Obviously hindsight but point is they had one td and it was off a turnover on our side of the field and still was far from easy. Not impressed at all. We make half the mistakes we made and we win. I would say it sucks to go to Dallas for next game but we might as well have been there yesterday! Thanks Dan. You idiot. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Yep Dan is the POS that got us to this point. Can’t have respect until it’s earned
We will not know that until we know exactly where we are drafting and who is available if he is there. Again if there is some stud that plays S or ILB or Corner or LT - and Pickett say has an awful combine you might change your mind. Plus will there be some free agent qb?
Combine means 0 to me. The guy has several years of game tape. Not saying he is the guy that should be taken if he is there, I was just using him as an example since he will be one of the top guys. Free agent is obviously a possibility but who is going to want to come here? Just seeing how Ron and co operate they aren't going to give up a ton of draft capital - so that leaves the draft. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
If we make the playoffs we will be drafting around 18 ish, I'd imagine a guy like Ridder would still be there. Pickett prob not..
To me Ridder is simply not a first round guy. He is a 3rd or 4th round guy. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Silver lining: we fought back in the 2nd half and were a dropped pass from Carter from possibly tying up the game.
The mounting injuries are a big concern now going forward. It's gut check time against Philly. |

His completion percentage has me concerned. That won't improve going pro. I would take a flier on him in second though |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
If both teams are 100%, I'm pretty confident WFT wins that game. Unfortunately, this time of year no one is 100%. The mounting injuries are a definite concern.
Funny seeing D Lawrence and other Cowturd players talking it up after the game. I'll give it to them that they took care of business - beat a Division rival on the road, backing up their "guarantee", but there's no way they can really feel all that good about that win right? I mean, I'm actually not going to be surprised if the Giants beat them next week... |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Wheels came off early and often.
Offense needs 1st downs to be successful and stay on schedule. We ran the ball on 1st downs but ended up with lots no gains to 2 yards. 2nd down would be an incomplete pass. Setting up 3rd and longs. Known pass plays where defense pass rush can pin the ears back and secondary can play the sticks aggressively. Our opening drives ended on long 3rd downs: 1st drive (4 plays) - 3rd and 13 (punt) 2nd drive (3 plays) - 3rd and 10 (gregory int to td .. score is 0-11) 3rd drive (6 plays) - 3rd and 7, went for it on 4th and 2 = Parsons sack fumble to td. core 0-18) 4th drive (4 plays) - 3rd and 8 (punt) 5th drive (3 plays) - 3d and 6 (punt) 6th drive (5 plays) - 3rd and 15 (punt) 7th drive (1 play) - kneel down to end the half ------------------------- 7 drives in the first half (bc the boys had 2 defensive TDs so we get ball right back) Our paper cut offense stalls if we dont get to 3rd and shorts. Or a penalty happens. No margin for error. |

Im a Miami guy so I watch alot of ACC games. I think he is very good. Maybe better than we think since Pitt is not exactly Bama. That being said I just want to see exactly how he grades out, and not just take a qb because there is one there. |

Pretty damn close, dropping to 6-8 would mean we'd probably have to win the last 3 to get that last playoff spot. That would be a tough spot to be in. |

Seriously if Hurts beats us we do not deserve the playoffs. I think we got 3 wins in the bag. 9-8 worse possible record. Get your charity picked out. If it’s the WP that would be fine - would save me a transaction. Lol
I wonder why we haven't played Sims that much this year? Sims often make plays whenever he has the opportunity, which is something we cannot say the same for Samuels and Brown. Sims should have been #2 WR.
The game yesterday was ugly, although I have to credit the team for not giving up until the end. It would have been easy for the team to give up early in the game but they fought until the end. It will be interesting to see how the team will perform this Sunday.
Brown makes no sense. They are playing him simply because he is their draft pick. He can't even stay on his feet and almost cost an int. |

It's a toss up game, NFCE anything can happen. Our D should be fine but the shitty Offense will be fucked. This offense hasn't scored over 20 in 3 weeks now |

He also can't get open, that dude has a corner on him every throw. He looks like another 3rd or 4th WR on most teams |

Yeah he has been disappointing to say the least. And wtf is with Samuel? Worst groin injury in the history of sports or what? Two targets yesterday? McLaurin not been around. Thomas out. McKissic out. So u feed AG who feeds the other team. I mean even if TH was playing well how would we know? |

Couldn't run and couldn't protect. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
4 Turnover worthy throws yesterday by TH, Passing grade was a 32.. BRUTAL
|
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Fuller was great yesterday
Targeted 8 times and gave up 4 rec for 15 yards |

Just saying if we're being fair it turned out being a positive in itself because 3rd 10 > 3rd and 5. But not the call I would've made either. Take the 3rd down and trust your D. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk
From what I can find, statistically there is very little difference between eventually converting from 2nd and 10 (roughly 54%) versus from 3rd and 5 (roughly 49%). Going by that alone, you would decline the penalty, but it's close. The difference could be that you have a slightly better chance at forcing an INT if you accept the penalty and force them to pass twice. Hard to say. Either way, there's plenty of room for debate and it's not a critical error or brainless decision to choose one over the other. |

Interesting stat. Thanks. Unless the penalty knocks them even close to out of fg range you decline it. Or if it would be third and short. But at third and five I absolutely hate the idea of giving them two chances instead of the one. It is debatable. I just haven’t heard a good reason why u would accept it yet. Hoping for an interception isn’t really a good reason imo. |

True lol. TH has his moments at least. Hurts is completely one dimensional. But true at least after yesterday. [emoji1750] Look what hurts did against the Giants recently too. Even bad Taylor does better. |

I think giving a team two chances to get 10 yards as opposed to giving them one chance to get 5 yards is stupid. I don't know if what you are finding statistically is taking into account - simply getting the first down on the next play, or getting the first down at all (since accepting the penalty gave them more opportunities). Like (I think) Punch said, if the penalty will potentially push them out of FG range, fine. But that was not the case. |

Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Gonna be honest, I think our defense yesterday wasn’t the problem. Dallas has the no 1 offense…they love to tout that shit. I think for as limited as we were on the dline, the secondary, LB really backed them up fairly well.
When you look at the offense, it’s not getting it done. The Oline I thought was the most disappointing outside of the TH overall play. We got nothing from RSJ…Logan Thomas out has really hurt all season. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Can we talk about Gibson for a minute, dude has a legit fumbling issue. He needs to clean that up asap or he's not going to be around long in this league.
|
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
Gibson needs to clean it up big time win the fumbles. I’d really like us to continue to draft RBs in those mid rounds.

He leads all RBs with 6 fumbles. Heinicke also has 6, putting two WFT players in the top (or bottom) 20 for fumbles. I'd have to look at that one from yesterday again, but I feel like he fumbled before he was even contacted...could be wrong, but either way it's hard to trust him. Between AG's fumbles and TH's fumbles and floaters, I'm never comfortable watching this offense. |

Please tell me this isn't the case. Honestly, that would e a pretty big disaster. I know we have D line depth, but he's been lights out all season. |
Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread
The worst thing that happened in that game was that the Cowboys were allowed by some WFT FO executive douchebag to install custom made heated benches (for a 47 degree day) with their logos emblazoned on them on the visitors sideline. That is an arrogant statement that said "We own you!". What a bunch of pussies we have running the show for the WFT! Joe Gibbs must have puked when he saw that. How could that be allowed to happen to us? We fans have nothing left now, not even our pride.
