Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Their stats are pretty similar, but Sweat has been arguably more impactful (and more available) over the last four years than Chubb, and he didn't have Von Miller on the other end of the DL for half his career.
He will definitely get the same money or more.
Then I'd let him go sign somewhere else and keep the money/get compensatory pick. |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Gotta keep Sweat or Chase. I'm not sold that it's going to be Chase.
|
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Sweat has been quietly solid in run game too. I think he is undervalued by us fans
|
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Sweat is going to get paid no doubt.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
CY hasn't proven anything, he won't get a big payday unless he goes absolutely insane next yr

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
In a recent article by ESPN, their insiders suggest that significant roster moves could be coming for the Raiders. Here is what Dan Graziano had to say about the Raiders moving forward:
“All is not well in Vegas, and I would expect significant roster changes if things don’t turn around before the end of this season. There is zero guaranteed money on Derek Carr’s new “contract extension” after this season. Just sayin’.” https://www.yahoo.com/sports/espn-suggests-significant-roster-changes-182912302.html This is just pure speculation and I dont even know if the trade deadline has passed .. but I def welcome Derek Carr. hes not a top 10 QB but he is on the bottom end of a legit NFL QB and we havent had that since Cousins. We desperately need a legit top 15 QB. To hard to win, everything and then some has to align right, for a team with our QBs to win. |

Im one that doesnt value him as much as most but I dont think ive really focused on his play. I dvr games so after half the plays I pause it rewind rewatch and usually its to see what our LBs are doing or if our DL ran a stunt or if our corners are on the line or off. Usually why IM not in the GDT, im always 5-20 mins behind the live feed. Im going to watch Sweat more closely in the run game. Im team Chase. |

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Chase Young 2020 & 2021 seasons
24 games 70 total tackles (solo + assisted) 6 forced fumbles 9 sacks 16 QB hits Montez Sweat 2020 & 2021 seasons 26 games 69 total tackles (solo + assisted) 5 forced fumbles 14 sacks 33 QB hits Sweat gets to the QB more. He plays less snaps too - about 68% compared to about 79% for Chase. |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
The Eagles schedule is so soft. They are not as elite as their record.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Looks like the Bears are finally learning how to run an offense with Justin Fields. His last three games have been good.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
The COLTS have Fired Frank Reich

Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Once again, proof if it was needed (and it wasn't) that the owner picking QBs never works.

We gotta consider Reich if we are not going to keep Rivera after this season. |

No thanks. I think there are a number of other promising coaches out there I'd rather see get a shot (Leftwich, Bienemy, Ryans, Quinn). I think Reich as an OC might not be bad, but I don't think he managed his time in Indy all that well. |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Jeff Saturday? Never coached a game in his life and is the HC of the Colts? Wow. Just wow.

This. OC yes. HC hell no. Enough with other peoples garbage. |

What…they made Jeff Saturday the HC? He’s not on staff is he? |

It looks like he was working as a consultant for them. That being said, I feel like this shows how much Irsay is meddling with the team. |

Damn, what a slap in the face to all the remaining coaches. Dude is an ESPN analyst. From ESPN: The Colts named Jeff Saturday as their interim head coach. Saturday, 47, a six-time Pro-Bowl center who played 13 seasons for the Colts and is currently an ESPN analyst, has been a consultant for the team and is in its Ring of Honor. |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Well, looking forward to seeing Saturday on Sunday.

I feel like Bienemy has something weird going on, he's interviewed with almost half the teams in the league over the last 3 years it seems and not one offer that we know of. Leftwich has had Tom Brady, so he hasn't proven anything either and can't seem to get it figured out this year when Brady isn't perfect. |

Give me DeMeco Ryans with an exciting/young OC that he lets have full control over an exciting offense. |

Absolutely zero coaching experience minus maybe highschool for a year i think? Definitely a tank job. Plenty of assistants on that team like Reggie Wayne that deserved a shot. |

What??? This is some Dan Snyder early days shit when he was going to hire Pepper Rogers after he canned Norv. |
Around the NFL…Week 8
Jeff Saturday needed to say “im honored but terribly unqualified and cannot accept the job”
How do you walk in there with a straight face and not feeling like you have no business being there? |

EB has some baggage from his younger years and had a couple of run ins w/ the law while at Colorado. Could be part of the reason he hasn't got a job. |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Looking at Colts coaching staff .. lots of former colts
Cato June = LB asst coach Kevin mawae = OL asst coach Reggie Wayne = wr coach John fox .. remember that guy, hes on the staff https://www.colts.com/team/coaches-roster/ |
Re: Around the NFL…Week 8
Saturday is a good choice.
An interim HC isn’t going to change anything other than how hard they practice. The OC and DC will still manage their groups. If you promote a guy to interim HC, you guarantee he won’t be back next year. And yes, it’s a tank job. They need a QB, they are going to get the best one in the draft. |
