My top ten excuses/talking points I’m expecting to hear tomorrow in no particular order:
1. Russian bots/disinformation ran rampant 2. Latinos are the new white supremacist 3. White suburban woman are cockroaches and/or domestic terrorists 4. Elon musk allowed this 5. Putin puppets are back 6. The election was stolen/deniers are denying again! 7. GOP are simply allowing ableism 8. Evil whitey! 9. Death of democracy (through voting no less) 10. “This is just like 1930s Germany” Drink every time you hear them! What I expect from social media…the usual: fascism/fascist or Nazis! |

-15 respect A clear video of election administrators playing voicemails threatening their lives by nutjobs who all latched onto Trump's bullshit about fraudulent elections and you immediately switch the topic to the guy hosting the show airing their concerns? Weak as fuck, even for you. Straight out of the conservative playbook though. |
Re: 2022 Midterms thread
Have to say I am never going back to in person voting. I was skeptical at first because the amount of personal info required to request a ballot made me uncomfortable but it beats making small talk with my neighbors that are the election officials.

Yes but Id guess VA benefits more than MD from federal contractors. MD has mostly good schools, desirable living, good wages, educated people. Baltimore is a deep port city. Maryland is just ideally situated in the mid atlantic. We are also one of the biggest chicken producers due to Perdue, grow lots of soy on the eastern shore. MD could thrive on its own if it was placed in a bubble. |

In 2020, 19.3% of the workforce was employed by federal, State and local governments, while 80.7% of workers were employed in the private sector. In 2020, Maryland was fourth in the nation for employment within the federal government, though it ranked first for federal jobs per capita, at 242 jobs per 10,000 residents. |
