The ref was telling the Dallas defense who reported as eligible.
Looks like the ref assumed it was just #70, only heard him and not #68? Maybe #68 needed to be sure the ref heard him? He'll probably tell you that. Either way, it wasn't a good look.
Watching the Skycam outtake on various sites, #70 was the last of 3 linemen to go speak to the ref before teh play. And he visibly engages with the other 2. And there's video of #70 saying quite 'adamantly' that he didn't say anything to the ref. Post game interview with #68 too, emphasising he DID tell him he was reporting in as eligible. I'm not sure the refs actions were deliberate, he may well have told the Cowboy sit was #70 by mistake, but its clearly a level of incompetence. And normally they announce across the PA if a player is reporting as eligible which didn't happen here. 🤔 |

Such a great spot to be in to. Any football minded GM and HC would love to come to Washington now. Money to spend , great draft picks and new owners Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Josh Harris et al have a HUGE opportunity to reset this franchise for decades and it starts next Monday. I hope, and believe, that they have a plan for this, and that the football gods are actually favoring us with some foreshadowing of good things happening (teams like the cardinals this week, or the patriots and jets previously.) I know the rebuild will take time, but the core of this franchise is about to be put in place for a decade. |
Re: Around the NFL week 17
I would rather have the number 2 pick than One .. the pressure is on Bears to get it right .. we will get Williams,Maye or Daniels .. yes don't be surprised at Daniels stock rising .. and Harrison could go number one and that gives us all options at QB ..
|
Re: Around the NFL week 17
If us and the Cardinals lose next week, is there any way they can jump back ahead us in the draft?
Or is No. 3 now our worst case scenario? |

Re: Around the NFL week 17
Eagles suck. Lol
|
Re: Around the NFL week 17
It looks like their strength of schedule will be stronger than ours no matter what. The Pats could easily jump back to 2nd, or if they beat the jets fall back further. According to tankathon.com to help our improve our chances, we want the steelers, chargers and bengals to win today, and texans and raiders next week. Not sure how likely those all are.

I agree with this too. Regardless of what Chicago does now. Also having the 2nd pick will help us move up to 1 if they want to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Probably not the first time you've been premature in your life. I kid, Murray had some bad looks early. But games are won in the 4th quarter. Thanks a ton Murray and Gannon for helping us out today. |
Re: Around the NFL week 17
For anyone who might know, is there any chance the ownership moves on the GM/Front office this week?

Nice. If the new GM likes all 3 QBs, we could get one. Or if someone else likes 1 of them remaining, we could get a fatty trade. 3 is a great spot. Cardinals are awesome. |

That's a 50/50 game imo. So they certainly could, but I'm just pumped we locked up no worse than No. 3. |

I think we want the Chiefs not the Bengals? They played Pats head to head but neither of us played the Bengals. |

looks like the Chiefs have a good chance of winning, and the Steelers won. Good deal, and it broke the strength of schedule tie in our favor for now

Ravens are not playing. Lamar Jackson making people eat crow by the bucket.

Re: Around the NFL week 17
Ravens have to be conference if not SB favourites after the last 2 weeks. Talk about momentum going into the playoffs.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 17
The Ravens are really good but in the playoffs crazy shit happens. This season is up for grabs for every team in the playoffs
|
Re: Around the NFL week 17
Who can beat the Ravens right now? Maybe Buffalo with a perfect game...surely not anyone in the NFC... It's their year.

I think the Browns, if they had a full power Watson i definitely pick them I think the Bills are the dark horse; they are getting healthy and they are hunger We have seen it before from the Ravens, regular season heroes to playoffs zeros |

However, I'm not buying into the second coming of Joe Flacco. He has won 3 in a row, but he has beaten Trevor Siemian, Justin Fields, Davis Mills, & Case Keenum...not a possessed Lamar Jackson. |
