Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
I can't imagine anyone in that locker room really giving 2 shits about this. Yet this morning Ross Tucker is on the radio blasting him.

It's annoying isn't it? Like Schlereth last night on Twitter trolling RG3's logo by posting his Super Bowl ring as his 'logo'. Complete dick move, one has nothing to do with the other. Just like Shawn Merriman last week on NFL AM saying IN THE SAME HOUR that he loved the Jackson signing for all that it brings to the team and then later saying he wasn't for it because of whatever baggage he brings with him. I'm like a moth to the flame for Redskins news/discussion but it gets really tiresome with everything being tainted with negativity for the sake of flapping gums. |
Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
We are the Redskins, we have a huge fan base. Writers need click throughs, radio hosts need talking points and TV needs ratings. Blasting the new FA aquisition at Redskins Park is an easy way to accomplish that. No need to waste my time worrying about a vacation that was known about before he signed the deal and he was excused from the first week of OTAs when he signed a week ago.
Can't wait to see him on the field for camp and games in the fall. |
What gives me concern is that teams almost always seem to find a way to work with players and their various criminal activity but in this case Philly flat out told him to take a hike. It must have been really bad.
I always heard the a leopard cant change his spots, hopefull DJ changes.
Do you really think the whole.........potential for locker room problems, etc was overlooked by Bruce, Jay & Co. I really can't imagine the scenario where they took him and....threw caution to the wind. Whatever he is or is not is well documented in the bowels of Skinsville central. Unless Bruce or Jay are incompetent or just stupid? |

Don't get me started on Schlereth. Extremely arrogant, Rarely considers opinions that are not his own. And he doesn't pass the ball on the basketball court

Comes across on TV as arrogant and condescending. He's like the fat version of Sean Salisbury. |

That last one pisses me of not passing the basketball. |

Salisbury's actually pretty decent from the little I interacted with him. |

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
a few people keep mentioning to me that we're going to get into cap hell w deals like jackson's.
remember when we had to restructure several deals each off season to get under the cap? did we restructure any in 2014? |

On Jackson's deal specifically, it's a 3 year deal but only two years are a real commitment. We could cut him after year 2 and generate a lot of savings on the 3rd season. Or if he works out real well, keep him. The signing bonus was low, so there's not a lot of dead money risk. As for the Redskins' long term cap situation, there's oodles of room there that will allow them to extend RG3, Orakpo, Trent, Kerrigan and Morris if they so choose. |
Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
Jay Gruden said on NFL Radio yesterday that the team is pretty much done in free agency.
