Stewart finished 38th. The big wreck started with Labonte I believe. The one that ended TS' day
BTW, how do you remember everything about people? Like the fact I was a 2nd team all american soccer player among other things???? |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
i'd offer the dolphins a 4th rounder next year for jason taylor, and see if they went for it.he is not a long term answer, but he could play her a few years and help while waiting
for such a player. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Hold on I know I'm a little late with this but I must have missed something I swear we had two 3rd round picks? Where did the other pick go we didn't trade up?
It was traded away when we got the 2 2nd round picks. |

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Here we go...a future Hall of Famer
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Whatta you know, a DE. Never heard of him though. Robert Jackson>
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Wow a DE!!!!
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
6-3 265 lbs 4.85 They say he has a good motor but needs to add bulk.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
ESPN and NFL.com both don't have any profiles on Jackson, sorry guys.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
That means he's a no namer....man that sucks.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Damn! Miami just took my pick.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Never heard of this guy...but hey, it's not hard to make our roster as a DE, we are weak. Hopefully he will surprise some people.

SI.com - 2008 NFL Draft - Rob Jackson Seems like a poor-man's Chris Wilson to me. But check out the projection |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Another WR drafted by the Bengals. Just what CJ was complaining about.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Is Darrell Robertson still available???
|

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
what about Ali Highsmith is he still available? Would Definitely be a steal if we got him with our last pick
|

Sporting News Draft Guide says: Strengths - Never stops hustling and loves the game. Shows good all around skills. Is quick and agile. Gets back into plays even when blocked initially. Weakness - Lacks elite physical qualities in any are. needs to work on lower body strength to become a solid run stopper. must improve ability to fight off blocks and and learn to read plays better. Bottom Line - Jackson, a junior college transfer, was a solid pass rusher in the big 12. He is ideally suited to be a back up DE in a 3-4 scheme but must add 15 -20 lbs for the role. |

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
we have drafted a lot of former juco guys
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
probably meant early seventh. whoever said he sounds like a poor man's chris wilson, if thats the case then we are in a sad, sad state
|
If he was a projected second rounder, than this is the steal of the draft. I don't know if I believe that though.
Yeah, that can't be right or someone here would have heard of him before now. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
here we go our last pick...
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
and our last pick is Chris Horton UCLA
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Chris Horton, Safety
|

I was thinking the same thing. Not neccessarily bad, shows a desire to rise up to the next level. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
another safety good pick i guess
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
I don't have anything on this guy.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
and that's it folks...1 D lineman...1 O lineman...sad
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Immediate thoughts on the draft?? (Shooting from the hip of course).
|
and that's it folks...1 D lineman...1 O lineman...sad
Hey there's still the undrafted crop to sift through. Remember we found Heyer that way. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
not as many linemen as I had expected.... I thought we would cop a linebacker as well
|

Don't forget about the June 1st cuts. We may have some people in mind. |

agreed... initially think we did a good job until maybe the brennan pick. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Mr. Irrevalent to the St. Louis Rams: David Vobora/LB/Idaho
It's a wrap folks |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
I like that we drafted positions of need for a change, I'm just not sure we got all the right players in those positions. I would have to give this draft an overall grade of B-.
Hopefully we scarf up on some decent UFA's |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Rob Jackson is my new favorite player. If we waited till the 7th round to draft a d-lineman than this front office must know exactly what it's doing. He's my new sleeper candidate for this season too lolol.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Solid B+. I think we have some quality talent for the future.
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Wow, Jaws just gave us some props and listed the Skins as his winning team of the draft.
