Re: The Never Ending Thread
I don't think it's a myth at all. It's proven that your metabolism slows down at night. So I guess it's OK if you normally go to sleep at 3 in the morning to east at 11pm. LOL.
If your metabolism slows down that much at night, then why do they say you lose weight while you're sleeping? See! That's why it's taking me so long to lose weight. You guys are keeping me up. I could be shedding pounds while catching some zzzz's. |

It's scary how much alike we are. We both like the same cereal too. What are the odds in that? It's scary, I tell you... ;) |

Didn't you and I have a conversation about this. Hmmm? I can never be accused of truly flirting on this board. It's just something I won't do. Mainly because I think it's disrespectful to my husband. Now... back to cereal talk. |

I took this off a weight loss site: Okay, heres the thing… Alot of the food we eat are filled to the brim with chemicals. Read the lable on alot of these products, and most of it you have no idea what it is. Number 1 rule; if you can’t understand it, don’t eat it. By cutting just that, you will see improvment in weight loss. Vegetables that we consume contain pesticides! This, in time, will make you ill, and possibly gain more weight. Diet sodas, are made to make you FAT. Sounds crazy right? Alot of it contain a chemical called aspertame and SPLENDA!!!! Here’s the plan, and it will be a difficult task at first, but stick to these simple rules, you WILL see results. 1. DRINK PUREIFIED (NEVER TAP) WATER. Have a full glass of water immediatly when you wake-up in the morning (THIS IS IMPORTANT, it preps your body for detoxification and refreshes you,) then at least 8 glasses through-out the day. This is very important. This will flush toxins in your body and i’ll make you feel better. The water in tap, no matter what people say, have chlorine and floride, which are actually bad for you! THERE CHEMICALS! 2. EAT ONLY ORGANIC FOOD! NOT “ALL NATURAL.” The reason is this; every thing is natural. Even certain poisons are natural. ORGANIC, is free from chemical processing, and GMO’s. This include ALL foods, including Meats and Poultry. This is critical. Go on the internet and do some research for yourself on Organic foods and why you have been putting dangerous chemicals and pestisides in your bloodstream. Now, organic foods are more costly than conventional, but as the first month passes and you stick to the plan, you end up buying less and filling up quicker. And use common sense when cooking these foods; Steam, Bake, broil, grill, but no microwave! Microwave will distroy minerals and i’ll taste all wrong. don’t just change your life tomorrow (although it is recommended,)just try it, one step at a time, and don’t give-up too quick. Doing just this, and you WILL lose weight. 3. EAT A BIG BREAKFAST! Most fat people don’t eat breakfast. This is what starts your day. Most over weight people have no breakfast, a big lunch, and a really big dinner. This causes your body to be fat. Period. Just by doing this, you’ll see positive results. 4. Walk at least 1 hour a day, NON-STOP, in the open air, and breath! Not at a gym on treadmill. Out side the front door is a world waiting to be viewed! And it’s FREE! Just start walking. That’s it. Just walk! At your pace, of course, but try not to stop (except bathroom breaks.) And pick a route your comfortable with. This releases stress, better breathing and promotes a better you. If you feel really exhausted, then rest and call it a day, and continue tomorrow. 5. STOP EATING BEFORE 6pm Here is the really hard part, not eating after 6. Did you know that fat people eat late in the evening? I did. Usually, right before bedtime! Your body needs time to digest! When you start, TRY to stop close to 6pm. 6:30, okay. 7:00, okay. The closer to 6pm is the secret to successful weight loss. If your really hungry, eat ORGANIC apples. This will fill you up and it’s great on fiber. In fact, you should be eating more ORGANIC fruits. 6. STOP PUTTING TOXINS IN YOUR BODY! We put more poisons in (and ON) our bodies everyday. This, in time, make us feel angry, stressed and causes most to become unhealthy and fat. Read the lables! Understand what you are doing to your body and clean out your system. There are a vast majority of resources you can use to clean out your system. Take care of yourself. That’s it! Simple and easy. The rest will soon follow, and as your body get’s better, and healthier, you will find the right methods that will make your lifestyle healthier and better. Do body clenses. Get a massage. Laugh. Be happy with your self. A positive outlook actually helps to a healthier you. It worked for me, and I was over weight most of my life! I was 250 at the age of 15 till I was 21. I’m 30 now and I feel and look great! I wished I knew these simple steps before. Note #5 |

LOL. Did you know that aspertame (often found in diet drinks) can greatly reduce your metabolism? |

Did you know that aspertame (often found in diet drinks) can greatly reduce your metabolism?
Actually, I stopped drinking carbonated drinks over ten years ago. Once in a blue moon I'll drink a sprite or sierra mist. I only drink coffee, sweet tea and water. |

That's good. The acids in sodas are bad for your teeth too. I have never drank carbonated beverages (other than occasionally) because I have difficulty with carbonation for some reason. |

Going to use my mod status as an aphrodisiac :) Seriously though "I'm a Warpath Mod" never works as a pick-up line. Sigh Anyhow, these new "flavored" Cheerios are decent; vanilla, strawberry. |

I need to drink more juice though. I don't think I get enough vitamin C. Hey... what do you guys think about fish oil supplements? I just starting taking them. I hear great things about them. |
