Re: The coordinators
Well, sounds like there is one interview today and with the Senior Bowl practices starting on Monday, it's very likely that a decision will be made between now and Sunday so the new defensive staff can scout the Seniors...
Any last predictions? I think Bradley is going to the Chargers - maybe 49ers... Thurman is likely a check the block candidate. I can't make myself believe Ryan or Tarver were serious candidates. Pettine and Pagano have an outside chance, but... I could be wrong, but my money is on Manusky. Seems odd to fire the D coordinator, D line coach and D back coach, but not the linebackers coaches unless you had a plan for them. On top of that, any outside guy coming in is going to want to hire his own staff, not have two linebacker coaches forced onto him. |
Re: The coordinators
My gut says Pettine.
|
Re: The coordinators
I hope Pettine, think Manusky
|
Re: The coordinators
I wouldn't have a problem with Manusky. Ultimately we have a talent issue, so until we get serious upgrades there it's not going to matter who the DC is.
|
Re: The coordinators
My hope Thurman or Pettine. They have kept coaches though different tenures multiple times. I just want someone who will adjust the defense to fit the talent and leverage the skills of the player to excel.

Link or it didn't happen. |
Re: The coordinators
Any thoughts on the OC and DC positions are already filled and we are interviewing for the remaining openings? We hired a new QB coach, that would imply our current QB coach has a new position.

Re: The coordinators
I played with our new QB coach at San Diego State for a year. Good guy.
Must mean Cavanaugh is definitely getting promoted. |
Re: The coordinators
Who is the new qb coach? I mustve missed that.
