So, what's everyone's biggest surprise pick so far? I think the Steelers taking Mendenhall has to be up there. Also Sam Baker and Duane Brown...
I thought the Steelers would go Mendenhall mine was Chris Johnson to the Titans when I thought they would go WR. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
From ESPN:
Washington couldn't be happier about Thomas slipping, considering no one would have blinked had the Redskins selected him in the first round. Thomas isn't as good at stretching the field as his speed would suggest and he needs to improve his route running. But he has the quickness and athletic ability to continue to improve in those areas. He's also very good creating after catch for a player his size. Complete analysis |
Agreed. We're pretty set now, where else would we put another WR?
id rather have el and moss in the slots and bigger guys on the outside. could be a young potent influx of guys in that position |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Eagles go Kelly or Sweed

really, even with Willie Parker? I thought they would trade down once OL was depleted. After that, WR was a pretty big need. I agree with Matty, Mendenhall is a great back but it seemed like a luxury pick. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Top TE Fred Davis is still on the board too.

Please go Kelly. All of the TO attitude, with half the talent. |

Probably a case of taking the best player on their board. |

I was kind of surprised at the Tampa move at 20 in the 1st at CB/Talib. I thought they would go after a WR or QB. |

I had them picking Mendenhall cause the Steelers were always at their best when they had a power back to help with the quote unquote speed back and with Mendenhall I thought they would get a power back with little to no ware on the tires so it seemed right with the pick. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Damn Eagles took Laws faggots

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread

QB? Don't they have like 5 QBs? I think CB makes sense for Tampa, I mean Ronde Barber is getting old. Wow, once again the Eagles don't get a WR...who the hell are they going to throw at? |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
