Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Or maybe there are reasons why he was a 7th round draft pick.
Would you have any concerns about giving him a big money contract based on little we've seen from him?
Well, as to your first point, that's what I am talking about. Just because he was a 7th round pick out of college does not mean that he has not learned and improved. We have some empirical evidence that he can play in the NFL, and play effectively. Second point, my thinking is that the market for him is more in line for a medium money contract. He has not earned a big money deal yet, which is part of the attraction in my mind. Why cant the Redskins take a player on the way up, instead of one on the way down (i.e. Peyton Manning). Bottom line, I just fail to see the logic of ruling him out altogether as an option right now. |
Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
I agree that there's legitimate concerns about Flynn but I could care less about his draft status. Holding Flynn's draft status against him to me is like not dating a girl because she was chubby in High School.

Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Okay last year i had a clear favorite in Ponder but this year i keep going back and forth on draftable quarterbacks. If we go FA i think we should draft Cousins for the future. He is a true leader. Tannehill i think for a faster starter.

Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Let's say we don't sign Manning, what would you guys rather have:
QB RGIII RB Helu/Royster/Hightower FB Young WR Hank/Gaffney/Dwight Jones(3rd round pick)/Royal/Rainey TE Davis/Cooley or QB Tannehill RB Helu/Royster/Hightower FB Young WR Hank/Blackmon/Royal/Gaffney/Rainey/Moss TE Davis/Cooley |
Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Add Moss to group A as well.
