Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
from what I've read, Brown is looking for a big contract. Not that the Redskins couldn't come up with a deal, but if they were able to sign him to a sizeable contract, how would that affect (if at all) Cousins' deal?
i heard he is asking for 6mil , if that,s the case please sign him |

Would you still consider Foster at 17 if we signed Brown?[/QUO
no we need lots more D linemen but i would still draft a backer later on
I think a Dlineman is key. But I cant go a week without hearing Anthony Lanier's name as someone we are really high on who we are expecting to take the "next step" and will get more opportunity the coming season. Seems like Keim and Gruden are always name dropping him. I expect us to go Nosetackle...but where, I have no clue. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
I think if we got Brown, I'd be willing to look into trading back and then picking up DTs. SOMEONE would want Foster if he fell.

Absolutely. The word "Carnage" comes to mind when I think of having two ILB's of that caliber manning the middle. We can still get good DLmen in the 2nd round on. Counting what we have on the outside already, that would be one hell of a group of LBers. I'm stoked just thinking about it. Damn. If Gallette came back strong too? A man can dream can't he? I'd also like to see P. Smith playing on the line more. Sounds vicious to me MC. |

i like it. i really hope gallette can make it back. i saw saban come out and defend foster's character/demeanor after seeing some criticism from scouts. are there any other red flags on foster? |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
I know it's pure gravy, but I'm also on the Galette-train. Maybe we only get him for one season, but I DO think he comes back and makes a difference.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Imagine: Kerrigan R. Foster Brown Gallette and then Swearinger and Cravens. Good luck going across the middle, Witten. That would be like running through a gauntlet of Dobermans wearing a meat sweater.

Lil bit of a red flag imo, but not enough he should fall. On the other hand, we have Wil Compton who can explain assignments, line calls, and concepts but cant actually play at a high level. Ill take the former. |

That " Meat Sweater" would look like prime rib to a pack of starving wolves. I think the new DL and Secondary coaches are going to make a difference too and Manusky will run a more aggressive defense. |

With Cousins' tag, and the draft pool hit, we still have around 10M of cap space. I guess that's enough to sign Zach Brown and keep some cap space for next year. If we sign KC long term we should save some cap space and can sign Brown without any worries. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Rappaport tweeting that Redskins have signed Brown. Another big name free agent off the market

Excellent news and great addition to the team!
Per @RapSheet: Source: The #Redskins have agreed to terms with FA LB Zach Brown, pending a physical. Big-name free agent off the market. |

I also think/hope he'll keep the guys in line and take none of the bullsh*t that happened last year. |

Keim reporting it too:
The Redskins have agreed to a deal with free-agent linebacker Zach Brown, one of his agents, Michael Katz, tweeted. The NFL Network had first reported the deal. The deal is pending a physical, but barring the Redskins finding anything wrong, adding B |
