Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Was at the camp today, I just want to mention some things I saw, although I cannot say much because my friend and I were at wrong spot, could not see QBs' actions during scrimmage sometimes. Plus my friend talked lot through out the practice..
Beck and Rexy didn't play great today, both made some bad throws; although Beck played better than Rexy.. Cooley didn't play. Davis looked pretty quick for TE, I'm really hoping we will use two TEs set often this season to take advantage of Davis' talents. Hankerson had few drops. Hightower really stood out in the practice today, he played with explosive and ran hard. Overall, the offense looks ok, but definitely better than last year.. As for defense, Riley started for Fletcher, Rocky at Riley's spot, Jackson started in Kerrigan's spot, Buchanan started for Hall; not sure why Fletcher and Hall were not playing. Riley looked good on the fieldWilson got burned few times, he was lucky QBs didn't throw to his side on those plays. Landryslice, I don't think you need to worry. I saw him doing some exercises and he didn't look like he had any problem with his achilles.
Good stuff man. Some of the veterans were given time off to rest...I think it was Fletch, Orakpo, and DHall. |

In both pics he looks like he's been kidnapped. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I barely recognized Snyder without glasses or sunglasses.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Interesting. One guy I had heard was playing pretty well was Wilson
How did Clemens look? Heard he's looked kind of sharp
Maybe he did. Like I said, I was at wrong spot so I didn't get some good looks at some players who were on left side. I could only see Wilson when his man went deep. Wilson did make a nice play on first play where Stallworth went deep, he leapt and batted the perfectly thrown ball away. But then Wilson got burned two plays after a little while, although Wilson slowed down little bit at ending. If QB saw that, I'm pretty sure he would throw the ball deep. On different note, I have to say I'm surprised to see Buchanan playing Hall's spot instead of Barnes, considering he will be suspended for first four games.. I was really hoping that Barnes will have a chance to play as #2 or #3. But Buchanan did play same good form like he did last year, which is good news. Seems like Buchanan fits in this kind of defense.. I have to admit, I didn't pay much attention to Clemens. But from what I saw from him, he played good. He was pretty spot on with receivers. For those who are curious about Lorenzo, he's moved to Orakpo's side. He looked slim compared to last year.. It doesn't look like he will have a chance to compete for ILB spot, at least we could use him if it is an emergency. |

Yea that's what it looked like. Orakpo participated; Fletcher, Hall and Cooley were the only uninjured vets that didn't play. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Cooley is dinged up.
