Keim talking about Jackson in DC. I certainly think we are interested, looks like DJ already has a meeting set up with a team today.
As Keim says I’d be surprised if the Redskins aren’t interested. Just makes sense given the connection with our new LB coach and our need at ILB. |

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Really couldnt think of a better guy to come in and take London's place. Same position, a strong leader, and a guy who is productive. Folks, Jackson is near the top of my FA list.

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
i think i agree, if rak wants 10+mill per, maybe letting him walk would be a better move... or franchise him and see what he can do this season. part of the issue is he's a top dog in this year's pass rush market, and the perception of how good he is nationally is probably higher than what we've seen locally. if next year is a softer market, we can get a cheaper deal, and we also buy a year to try and talk him into something reasonable.
apparently he wants 12-13mill/per, which is... no thanks. |

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
With the cap going up to 130-132 million, I have no problem paying a top OLB his money. Plus we need the dude.
Let's get our eat defensive player locked up long term and worry about the rest later. Think about it like this: if in three years out top paid players are III, Trent Williams, and Rak then we are doing things right. |

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents

Who says he wants that?? I don't see anyone giving him that much anyway. |

per Fanspeak
There is a list of possible cuts that would add $17 million of cap space Cuts include : DL Bowen, Carriker, Golston OL everyone but Trent Paulson etc... Plus the rule of 51 could add anther 1 or 2 million |
Free agency hasn't even started and all is lost with Rak?
Can't blame him for wanting to test the market and see what's out there.
I'm sure we'll offer him a good contract. |

Get serious about the OL. If we're lucky, we might be able to upgrade two OL positions between FA and the draft. I doubt it though because we're going to need to work on the defense and ST. |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
This is a 25-30 rank defense, we need alot of players. There are alot of upgrades in free agency that aren't big names. Spend alot of cap money to resign our own, and where does that get us? Need to bring in guys to compete, and not overpay guys that aren't making an impact.
Yes! That is exactly right. Lavar Arrington said it right, you do not pay top dollar to Rak who does not take over games and is not a game changer. He disappears at time. Arrington called Rak undiciplined in his play and that is right. Funny Arrington was same way. Drove coaches crazy. Rak is a top 10 LB, but closer to 10 than top 5. If you know what I mean. Do not pay him big money. We will regret it. |
