Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
And so begin the Gruden rumors...

Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
our team was a mess last year and shanny has to play with these bums...like D.HAll said.."we do not have the personnel"
with the team we have we beat 3 potential playoff teams. I am pissed...trust me! but I just look at the roster and all the changes done since last season and say that 5-8 makes sense. I am with you when it comes to the OC....when you have your RB run for 174 you better open up the passing attack and use what you have...cooley/davis! |
Totally disagree, OTM. First of all, if the Bucs didn't have a bad case of Carlos Rogers, the Redskins would have gotten hammered today! Hammered.
I am so god damned tired of some of you guys talking about patience, when this clown coaching us this year is no better than the clown we had last year. I'm sorry, but at $7 million per year Mike Shanahan is the most overrated over paid, over hyped coach in the NFL this year. It's one thing to be wildly optimistic tempered with some patience, it's another to have glaring deficiencies and flaws week in and week out. That's not a patience issue, that's a competence issue. The personnel decisions have been questionable, the play calling and clock management has been suspect, and Shanny continues to feed us BS at every presser. I'm just not convinced that the talent level between mos NFL rosters, ours included, is that great.
Didn't the Skins miss two field goals and drop a couple of interceptions? |
Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
earlier in the season we wouldnt have been able to have a successful 2 min drill touchdown. i cant remember the last time we had a 2 min drill td to be honest.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
I feel sorry for the season ticket holders, and the schmucks who go out and plop down stacks of hundred dollar bills to yell support, and cheer for these sorry sacks of shit football players. F this team!

This is the part that bothers me the most... It seems like we can say this every single week. It would be one thing if it was a, "Oh! We just need another draft or another FA class." It just doesn't seem like the case. It just scares the crap outta' me that no matter who is here, who is GM, who is coach, what defense we run, who we play... the results just seem to be the same no matter what. :( |
Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
Special teams today...2 missed field goals, 1 missed extra point, fumble on kickoff. Ouch, Danny Smith might have to go. Special teams cost us the game today folks. Plain and simple

Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
let Bruce Allen work he has only been our GM for less than one year!
Vinny was the idiot........Snyder needs to go but we can't fire the owner! |
Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
Not sure why evryone is so pissed I thought the ending was just perfect and got a good laugh.

So, just because we completed a two-minute drill, everything is excused? The two-minute drill is usually the QB alone calling the shots since there's no time for the HC to be picking plays and making the offense wait. Besides, Tampa is not exactly a world-beating defense and the Tampa 2 is usually soft against the short plays when it's late game because the aim of the defense is kill as much clock as possibly. And good coaches manage the clock well. The end of the first half was a completely embarrassing sequence. |

When did OTM say everything is excused?

Had we stayed in a 4-3 our D would likely be improved, not regressed. The Zone blocking run scheme, KS's questionable playcalling, the personnel decisions on the OL, the mis-use (non-use) of creative 2TE sets, the list goes on. These are strictly coaching issues. What great personnel decisions have been made? J. Brown has been inconsistent (to put it kindly), Rabach is still our strating C, I find it hard to believe Dock (our most consistent lineman last year) suddenly sucks and is demoted. Kemo? Carriker? These are all stop-gap measures....and in the meantime we've traded away 3rd - 4th rounders for 2011. We've found a couple of RBs, but outside of that I think we have more needs going into this off-season than we had last year. and Hall makes some plays but also has his share of liabilities. |
Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
chemistry is a huge part of football (ex. steelers) this team still needs to mold and we (A) do not have the parts to be a well oiled machine....get the parts and let the chemistry take place.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread
it does not matter who you get to coach this team
WE HAVE OLD AND BAD players! |
