PFT is saying it wasn't cancelled, it was moved to today.
So is Rotoworld, saying the visit in Boston took longer than expected but they did not get a deal done. He's coming here today.
Walter Thurmond cancelled his visit with us.
He was probably smoking some morning pot and forgot about it. If we must choose a type of drug offender from Seattle to have on our team, I'd rather have the performance-enhancing offender than the pothead. We've dealt with enough Fred Davises. I suppose Adderall can help him focus and play better. |
Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
I wonder if the twitter war between Sherman and D-Hall last night caused Browner and Thurmond to cancel their visits?
I'm not sure how good Browner is coming off suspension/injury, but before that he held his own opposite Sherman. If he still wants to visit here I wouldn't mind bringing him in, but it would have to be a low risk contract considering his suspension.
You are welcome to your opinion. For me, I agree that he is very good in his strengths. However, you have to scheme around him, as Seattle did. Because his size limits his shiftiness, you can't leave him on an island in certain schemes as you would others. Thus I see him as upper middle class, rather than upper class, at best. Put differently, Browner may not be the same without Earl Thomas behind him. |

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Hatcher said that he signed while visiting Oakland because Washington blew away the market for his services.
The defensive line is the one place where the team is vastly improved over last season. |

I've been wondering if the Skins might want to try Browner as a FS. He's big, fast, agile, and he hits like a ton of bricks. That would be the kind of creative problem-solving that might help to get us where we want to be. I also like the fact that Browner is a beast on ST. |

The defensive line is the one place where the team is vastly improved over last season.
So we ARE willing to pay above market value for a piece of the puzzle that we think is worth it. I like it, because although the secondary gets a lot of bad press, you can't ask them to cover the receiver like a blanket for 10 seconds while we are still trying to get to the QB. Increase the pressure on the QB and our secondary (even last year's secondary) looks a whole lot better. |

Probably means undervaluing his worth financially in his opinion. Big mistake to let him go the first time. Not sure what he expects this time around at 35 and looking for a 2 year deal. I wouldn't be surprised either way if it does or doesn't work out. |

It'll be a decent pickup but we should definitely not over pay for a 35 year old whose clearly lost a step. |
Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Hire him has a FS coach he would probably get more $$$.
|
Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Did he really just say that? To be confident is one thing, to show disrespect for an organizations fans who might be one of the few teams in the league to value your skills is totally another. Ryan Clark must be a dumbass mother fucker. Let him peddle his ass outside the soup kitchen, slothy mother fucker.
