I wonder why Giantone has such an interest in AH not being in camp. I'd guess he would perfer if AH is not on the team. Giantone do you know what AH stands for when we are playing against the Giants? Again Homeboy That's what AH will be saying when he is getting up off Ecry.
Yes they matter, say I don't have a contract ....I'm not stepping on the field without one that's good business sense that people can understand, say I'm not there becuase I think I know more then the coachs and don't need to learn anything new ....well that's a little bit different. Mattyk it does matter when you're trying to create team chemistry.
Funny that you dismissed the three guys from the Colts that I mentioned compared to AH. I think it is harder to build team chemistry with three guys out than just one.

Anyway, I brought up those guys from the Colts (and others who are doing the same) to show that players skipping voluntary workouts/OTAs is a normal thing in this league and people need to stop crying about it.

If players/coaches/fans/etc., etc., are so concerned about players skipping voluntary workouts/OTAs then they should make all workouts/OTAs mandatory.

Like I said to Mattyk the reason means alot to the other players .We sometimes forget that this is still a business and if it's for legit business reasons the other players understand .
I just don't believe it's a normal thing but it is a league wide thing and every team is having the same peoblem and most likely will be address if they ever get another contract .
Agreed my only point was that some are doing it for different reasons.
What exactly are the different reasons here?

Reading comprehension,my response was to Firstdown and his comment that I want AH"gone" from the Skins. If he would read some of my posts in this thread he and maybe yourself would understand that I feel all players should be there, yes it is volentary but unless it is a contractual thing(not having one) a player needs to be there .These things build team chemistry and sometimes that is more important then individual talent.

Not sure of the question but I'll try.AH didn't like the coach last year or what they made him do and so the old was thrown out and he doesn't seem to like the new defense coming in this year,so what do you do to make him happy and far do you go to make him happy ,don't you think that other players would like to stay at home and work out ?As for the example of the Colts players from what I understand all 3 have contract issues with the team ,if they come and get hurt without a contract ...well ?
I said this is a league wide thing and it is , every team has these issues the Giants had them with Plax ...he'd work in Florida instead of getting his timing down with Eli in NY. No one player is better then the rest, you have a new head coach ,and D coodinator and a new defensive scheme coming in even the most war tested vet should be there .

I see...well you're speculating a lot it seems on AH. And Reggie Wayne, for one, does have a contract right now but he wants a new one.

Re: Haynesworth is Behaving Selfishly

I think AH's situation is different from most who skip the voluntary's because it's not related to his contract(and thus the business side) in any way. I don't know all the players who are not attending the voluntary's, but most of them do it to make a business statement. AH's missing seems to be completely about his own idea of what best for him versus the team's idea of what's best. To that extent yes he is being selfish.
But, it is voluntary, and he doesn't have to show. MS and BA both clearly understand that concept, so , we fans need to just step back, and realize that these men are all professionals, and hope for the best once mandatory practices and training camp start.
