Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
TL;DR. Anyone mention this yet?
@slmandel Robert Griffin III is "fully expected" to declare for the 2012 NFL Draft: bit.ly/tYHGvP 5 Dec Favorite Retweet Reply
This is phenomenal news. Now, someone needs to put a gun to Barkley's head until he declares (figuratively of course). |
Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
Janoris Jenkins is the Patrick Peterson of this draft. And there's nothing wrong with Morris Claiborne. But you know the Shanahan underclassman thing applies to him too. I see no reason he won't be incredibly highly rated on the Redskins board, but this is the 5th overall pick we're talking about.
And yeah, the Redskins are going to win again this year. I'm just not sure the fanbase is prepared for it.
Interesting insight. I have Claiborne as the top CB and I see him being there at number 5 also I think Claiborne is a better "cover" guy than Peterson was coming out. |

What I'd like to see and is seen on some mock draft boards is: Barkley What I could see happening if we lose draft position if we win another game or two? Whoever is the best CB or best WR. |

Good read on why RG3 won't be our QB.. And yes, I read it this time :)

We're going to pass up a potential mega-talent QB in the draft for a coach who likely won't be here more than two or three more years and struggles mightily to pick the right fit anyway... Edit: this is where a real GM, as in one who actually makes personnel decisions, overides a coach like Mike Shanahan in the decision to not take the truly best QB available or just shows coach the door. Unfortunately, Snyder still hasn't gotten this FO thing right. We've got a GM that's really just the HC's toady and the coach can't get it right to begin with. |
Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
If RG3 is there when the skins pick and we pass on him I'm going to be pissed
|
Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I still think Barkley or RGIII will be a Redskin come April.

The Redskins simply can't not afford to pick the best QB that fits their "system." They simply need to pick the best QB, period. I hope someone over there realizes this and they make the right decision. Pick the best QB. |
Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
As long as this QB leads us to multiple SB victories, I don't care if its John Cena or The Rock.

All I know is I am routing heavily for a Rams victory

For more than one reason too. Hopefully Bradford throws for 400 yards and 5 TDs to prove he's their franchise QB. |
Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
The Rams would be stupid to give up on Bradford.
Janoris is another pothead. Sure, go get him. The dude has a rap sheet.
All NFL teams have the ability to draft rosters entirely of choir boys. Unfortunately, they can't also decide to win games with a roster like that.
