Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Redskins get outbid all the time. And the Redskins also don't bid all the time.

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Yea just thought the cap situation of the teams were interesting us with the most cap room to support the idea.

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Anybody wanna take a wild guess as to how we got all that cap space? That's right, by not outbidding anyone for players. ;)
I really would like for the author of this article to give me an example, under the current front office (Shanny/BA), of a time when the Redskins outbid another team for a FA or made a huge FA splash (such as Haynesworth) because of Snyder's influence.
Exactly...it's infuriating. So many in the national media have refused to notice that the redskins are doing business completely different now then they did under Snyderatto. They have not won yet so the media just assumes that it's Snyder business as usual. It's very lazy writing and reporting... |

If I am to understand right, are you saying that we no longer have an affinity for keeping overpaid vets on the roster? Why, that would almost suggest we have turned a corner as a franchise. |

It's one thing I know for sure after dating women all of these years and being married. Implants are sexy as hell until you see the scars, the doctor bills, and deal with the complcations of the decision(s) until they have to be taken out. And this dude is speculating the bitch will have her boobs, ass, and lips done. WTF! This franchise would look like Big Ang from Mob Wives. |

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Because I can, I am going to list the free agent quarterbacks by age (youngest to oldest). If we can get a guy who is 26 or 27, that gives you a legit chance to find your quarterback without going to the draft. If you get a guy who is 30, you're getting someone who is going to be looking over their shoulder.
Age is of December 31, 2012 1. Josh Johnson, 26 2. Dennis Dixon, 27 3. Matt Flynn, 27 4. Caleb Hanie, 27 5. Chad Henne, 27 6. Brady Quinn, 28 7. Alex Smith, 28 8. Drew Stanton, 28 9. Derek Anderson, 29 10. Kellen Clemens, 29 11. Dan Orlovsky, 29 12. Vince Young, 29 13. Jason Campbell, 30 14. Kyle Orton, 30 15. Charlie Whitehurst, 30 16. Kyle Boller, 31 17. J.P. Losman, 31 18. Luke McCown, 31 19. Shaun Hill, 32 20. Rex Grossman, 32 21. Byron Leftwich, 32 22. Drew Brees, 33 23. David Carr, 33 24. Josh McCown, 33 25. David Garrard, 34 26. Sage Rosenfels, 34 27. A.J. Feeley, 35 28. Chris Redman, 35 29. Donovan McNabb, 36 30. Jake Delhomme, 37 31. Charlie Batch, 38 |

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
I think our cap number is more than $33 million because teams get back unspent money from 2011. If not mistaken, it's closer to $40 million.

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
I might be the only person in the world who prefers Orlvosky to Orton, but one of the advantages of Kyle's system is that there isn't much of a premium on prior game experience.
