I asked myself this question today:

"Do you thing AH would be in camp if we were running a 4-3?"

I answered myself with a "Nope... not really."

If he doesn't show for mini-camp, or shows up out of shape then I may have some issues.

That's the approach most reasonable people are taking. Too much has been made of his absence.

If we were running a 4-3, it wouldnt even be remotely important for Haynesworth to be here to begin with. He'd be playing the same position he had for his entire career. His absence wouldnt hurt the team or his readiness for the season. I would actually view it as a positive, since his reps would be going to a new/younger player who could actually use the experience.

However, since we are running a 3-4, and players and coaches have unamiously indicated he'll be very far behind when he shows up, it IS a concern. If he doesnt show up for minicamp or shows up out of shape, then the concern increases exponentially. And this isnt even considering the additional implications related to the rumored reasons for Haynesworth's absence.

His absence IS a big deal. Its putting him behind the rest of the team in preparedness for the regular season and, as our best defensive player, it will hurt the entire team. All that being said, I'm one of the people here most irked by this whole situation and even I'm tired of talking about it. At this point, i'm far more interested in hearing about the players that are actually participating in OTAs and the Westbrook and Otogwe rumors (I say yes to Westbrook, Yes to Otogwe, and bye-bye to Willie Parker).

Fatal Bert is not going to show up out of shape. If there is any truth that he would like to get on another team, he definitely will be in great shape. If not and he plans (or has to) play for the Skins, then he has to be in great shape. He is probably (in his mind) going to be auditioning for other teams. If none of that takes place, he will be the BLOB and out of work.

I know, things are getting pretty boring when this is all there is to talk about. I would really like to see that Westbrook has signed with the Redskins. Now, that would be entertaining and start a hoopla of conversation!

LOL agreed but aren't we all speculating about AH .As for Reggie Wayne that is kinda one of the things I meant,he's not out just becuase he thinks he can do it better by himself .

Reggie Wayne has 2 years remaining on a 6 year 40 mill deal and he wants a new fatter contract at the age of 31? I would seriously try to trade his ass.

Not to knock on him but Manning makes anyone in to a threat. Our recieving corp. would be amazing if Manning was working with them. Reggie isn't going to do anything if he goes some where else.
