That really depends, some say its safer than grass while others say its not. And they have been tests done by both parties, and both prove their own point. Basically its not verified.
I read an article were they compaired the injuries from players that play on artifical v/s grass and they said that injuries were about the same on both. I think it was the NFL that did the reserch and they said that they could not draw any conclusions of which was safer. They did note that artificial caused more rug burn type injuries than grass.

The Giants are reluctant to pay Arrington what the Poston's have asked so for the moment this is going nowhere in the Big Apple:
:vomit: LaVar is probably touching himself at the prospect of playing in the biggest media outlet in the world.
Unfortunately, no one cares to watch NYG or NYJ games. That's why they share the same stadium. The Knicks will soon join them if they don't start winning more games.
Well, we know he won't be wearing #56 if he signs with the VAgiants.
I predict that LT will allow Arrington to wear #56. Just like he allowed him to get an earring made with the the initials 'LA' that mocked his own.

Re: Lavar to the Giants?

When is LaVar gonna wake up and can his agents? Teams simply aren't going to pay top dollar for a LB who's been injured the better part of the last two seasons, clashed with his coaching staff, and has a reputation for being a freelancer.

His best bet is to sign something short-term, show that he can regain his Pro Bowl form, and then cash in with a nice deal.

Paul Schwartz of the New York Post writes that reports of an impending deal between the Giants and LB LaVar Arrington are wrong.

Looks like LaVar may have been removed from the Giants wish list;

yeah, this report seems to echoe what a lot have theorized; that lavar (or postons) is asking for too much. He's not removed from their wish list though, there's a good chance his camp will come back w/a reduced offer.
Remember plaxico burress' situation last year? The giants said they were done w/him publicly, then he drops his agent (who was it? I'd like to know) hires rosenhaus & next thing he's got a nice contract as a giant.
the same scenario is actually possible w/lavar, especially since the postons have their hearing w/the nflpa on 4/21. I wonder how their suspension affects business? I imagine it means they can't get new clients but are allowed to represent their current ones.
All this talk of lavar signing w/the giants is another example of how the postons have screwed lavar IMO. I really believe that if it weren't for the postons he'd be signed to play in dc & we wouldn't have this thread. I know that's simplifying things, but my guess is the bulk of it stems from them & the animosity between them & snyder.

Re: Lavar to the Giants?

The common thread mentioned regarding the three (do they have any more?)clients of Les Freres Poston is that in every reported case they ask too much money for their clients, and not incidently, for themselves. We have Woodson at the Bucs, Law at the Hawks as well as Arrington at the Giants all dancing with the train. These guys all want $10 million to change helmets at a time when the big cash faucet has been turned off pending the draft. Of course each of them is scouring the net for information on the other two; as soon as one of the three signs for less than the $10 million that Les Freres told them that they were worth, the two left out in the cold will come down on Kev and Karl screaming bloody murder and maybe add a few chapters to the disbarment hearings coming up soon. At 3% each, that comes out to $900,000 for the agents; do they need to sock away some cash to pay their lawyers and to survive two years of asking "You want fries with that"?

Not to let facts get in the way of your point, but the G-men do have the biggest market in the country. If their games weren't the most watched, that would be pretty sad.

How many people live in the D.C. area? Something like 5 million. How many people live in the NYC area? Something like 20 million. Nuff said.

I almost forgot about that whole Plax deal last year. However what I still don't get is how paying Lavar with the same deal as Julian Peterson is too much. IMO they're at the same level with LaVar getting a slight edge due to more natural talent.
