What happened to all that Betts is Larry Johnson in a Redskins uniform talk
yea I agree...I think everyone is forgetting that we have Betts since he didnt play today. Betts does get injured a lot though.

Id also like to think that this ends the trade talks about Betts, no way we let him go with Portis as a question mark.

I think Portis will be fine, I also think hes happy because he didnt want to play in the preseason. Edge doesnt play in preseason either, he wants his body to be strong at the end of the year and doesnt want to waste the hits. Im sure he told Portis the same thing

Todd Collins throwing an interception to a player that is tieing his shoes.

Maybe Todd Collins is just so far ahead of everyone else in the system, that he only looked bad because no one was quite at his level yet... yeah I think I'll stick with that, that'll help me sleep at night.

Seriously though, I don't think anyone was expecting Montana out there. He's better than he played, but not really by much. Those that cannot do, teach

Hmmmm.
I know it's preseason and game 1 of preseason...
But our depth got killed by 2-3rd team CINCI. Portis hurt...
Nonetheless future still brighter than has been last 2 seasons.
I think this loss might be the unsettling blow that everyone needed to bring 'em back to earth.
I was ready to blow money on betting on them to win it all. Now I remember how the NFL works... Funny how ya forget that stuff in less than 6 months. LOL.
REBOUND to GLORY!!!

Bad bad and more bad in this one. B.Lloyd was the only bright spot. As for what is to come well only time will tell. Betts if he is healthy can do the job till Portis gets back. Something I really didn't like was the way we were tiping our blitzes. Collins looked like a deer caught in head lights! Wow bad!!! Let us pray that Portis is ready foe Sept 11th!!!

No one ever said he could PLAY in the system, it's only been said that he KNOWS it.

Exactly.

Knowing an offense is one thing. Hell, any of us could study a playbook and "know" the system. Stepping on the field and executing is a totally different thing.

As I've said before on Collins, I wouldn't write him off just yet. The backups in general were a mess. I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do with the starters... same for Campbell too.

I know HOW to be a porn star too. Does that mean if I were presented the situation that I could execute? I think not.
