Trade that bum and get all you can for him. This is story from awhile ago, but a friend of mine went out to dinner with Mike Vick and about six or seven people while Vick was a senior at VaTech. What he told me was a story that was a sure sign of things to come. The guy doesn't speak to the staff or the waitress at the restaurant once the whole night. He only communicates by snapping fingers at the staff as in come hither lesser humans. He amuses himself by pointing at things on the menu he wants and then snapping his fingers. He literaly snapped his fingers over and over and over and of course he thought he was just hilarious. Big Man on Campus. My friend said he has never been more embarassed for someone or for himself. I really hate stuff like that. Hope he never wins a title and the way he plays I don't think I have to worry.
Do you honestly believe this?

I use to smoke it in college and so did 3/4ths of University of MD. and I turned out OK. I know plenty of responsible grown ups who smoke weed. I mean it's legal in Canada. Weed is not the type of drug that makes people violent. What's the difference between smoking weed and having a vodka and cranberry? Both give you a buzz and make you feel relaxed. I personally don't care if anyone does it behind closed doors. But getting on a plane is different story.
Nobody cares if he smokes weed. He has a growing track record of being a selfish prima donna and he is so overhyped and overated it's like a slap in the face to any kind of fan when he acts like a jerk. We in turn are like well then screw you man. You aren't even that good. Take a look in the mirror and be a good person.

I just find it hard to believe. I mean everyone knows who he is in Blacksburg. So why act like this when it would probably get back to the coaching staff. Not like they could do anything but still. I'm sure at the time he had to set an example because he was BMOC. It could be true but I doubt a person in his position would act like this. Everything I have heard about Vick is the total opposite.

It is not legal in Canada. There has been talk of that, but still Illegal here.

What if someone gets caught with it in Canada? Isn't it just a slap on the wrist?

Yeah, the two TD's that he threw and field goal drive that he led them on had nothing to do with it.

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits

What gets me about this situation is the stupidity of this whole thing.

Look, I don't give a rat's ass whether or not Michael Vick smokes MJ - - so long as he doesn't do it at halftime of a game and then tank a second half. That would affect the integrity of the game. There's no evidence he does that kind of thing.

I don't care if he screws more women that Wilt Chamberlain claimed to have bagged. That's his business and the business of the women - - not mine.

Having said that, Michael Vick has a contract with the Atlanta Falcons worth a total of $128M according to reports. We all know he'll never see all of that because in the late years of the deal he'll have to renegotiate because his cap number will become astronomical, but he'll collect a gigantic chunk of change from the team over the years. Add to that the fact that he has endorsement deals and stands to get more of them when he has good years on the field.

And with all that staring him in the face, he's stupid enough to try to take a phony water bottle with some "stuff that smells like marijuana" in the secret compartment onto an airplane? That makes me think his IQ is somewhere near his uniform number.

As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon!"

If I'm the Falcons I find a way to trade Vick. Not because of this latest incident, but just because I don't see any way this guy will ever be a Super Bowl QB. Trade him and go with Schaub.

He may never be, but he's a tough one to put in perspective. Until this year, When he's been hurt the falcons lose. He's shown he can win, but only win so much.
I still don't believe he's had a coach & recievers that utilize his talent, he's not a good touch passer on short throws. Maybe we should've traded brunell to the falcons this year! MB fit their offense better. Vick throws the deep ball as well as anyone, but he's never had the guys to burn the secondary.
I don't think he'll ever be an all around "great" qb, but he has the talent to win more than lose.

Following your brilliant line of reasoning, why did he bring weed to an airport? I guess that must not be true since that would get back to the coaches too.

I guess giving the Atlanta fans the finger and screaming "F*CK OFF" must have been a media fabrication as well, since that would surely get back to the coaches.

Grow up. Whether something might get back to the coaches or not has no bearing on the integrity of the anecdote in question.
