Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
I do find it interesting that he has been arrested multiple times, but the charges always seemed to get dropped, I guess the judge must be a huge Titans fan. It seems to me (I'm not a lawyer and these are obvious) that they might be able to get him with aggrevated assault since he threatened to kill the bouncer, or battery because he may have bit a bouncer and he apparently did something to a stripper.
I just feel like if he has a good lawyer, he could probably somehow evade these charges like he normally does, I mean, it sounds like there was a huge brawl, with different descriptions of what happened, so it may be hard to pin it on him. However, he could also be convicted as being an accessory to something, I don't know exactly what the charge would ne, accessory to attempted murder maybe. Because, if he told his body guard to go shoot the bouncers, he'll definitely go to jail, even though he didnt pull the trigger. But good luck getting the shooter to rat on his boy, i find that unlikely. |
Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
Just a recap on Jones' run-ins with the law:
Obstruction of justice Drug possession Physical altercations with police Spitting in the face of two women Refused to pay for valet service Assault Felony vandalism Disorderly conduct Public intoxication Attempted murder I recommend the following punishment: 1. Take away ALL of his money. 2. Kick him in the balls SEVERAL times. 3. Lock him up for 10 years to life (for attempted murder) The Daily Evergreen Online - Sports - Columns |

Per PFT:
POSTED 11:54 p.m. EST, March 1, 2007 RAIN MAN BIT COP Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper reports that Titans cornerback Rain Man Jones bit a police officer as part of the incident that resulted in felony obstruction charges being filed against him in early 2006. "Adam Jones would not hold his hands together so the officer could put handcuffs on him to arrest him, and a fight ensued," said a representative of the district attorney's office in Fayette County, Georgia. "That's when he bit the officer on the thumb." The bite caused the crime to increase from a misdemeanor to a felony. McCormick also reports that Jones did not disclose the arrest to the team. As we explained on Thursday, failure to report an arrest is in and of itself a violation of the Personal Conduct Policy. McCormick also reports that Jones' mother pleaded guilty to marijuana possession in a March 2006 incident at Jones' home in Fairburn, Georgia. Somehow, charges against Jones were dropped. "There was marijuana all over the basement, and it was his house," said Mike Pruitt of the Fayette County Drug Task Force. "Under constructive possession, that should have been enough for a jury to decide this case." Does anyone out there think that Jones will ever play pro football again? We sure don't.
|
Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
Just how talented of a player is Pacman Jones?
With Adam (Pacman) Jones' problems off the field leaving open the possibility he might be released or traded by the Titans in the near future, I thought it would be a good time to see just how good Jones is on the field. Jones is regarded by many as one of the best special teams players in the league. He led the NFL in punt return average and punt return touchdowns last year, and also ranked sixth in the league in kickoff return average. The part of Jones' game that seems to get lost, with all of the attention paid to his return skills, is his pass coverage prowess. Here are his coverage metric from 2006: Adam Jones Att Comp Yds TD INT Pen P-Yds YPA 58--24---323--1--5---1---5---5.7 The YPA figure places Jones in the Champ Bailey category, and it wasn't a one-year anomaly for Jones. In the second half of the 2005 season, Jones' YPA was 4.9. For the past year and a half, Jones has been one of the most dominant cover cornerbacks in the NFL. Usually, if a player with off-the-field issues is talented enough, some team will find a roster spot for him. Jones is one of the best players in the league, so he is certainly talented enough. If the Titans end up releasing Jones, or putting him on the trade market, the list of suitors should be long. - KC Joyner ESPN |

Biting's okay if it's a serious physical altercation. Of course, if you're involved in a serious physical altercation with the fuzz, you're fubar'd. |
Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
I would agree with you if Jones was just some average Joe who was getting beat up in an alley or something, but he's an NFL player who should be able to handle himself in a fight. Plus, from the accounts I heard from the strip club altercation it sort of sounded like the bouncer was fighting some other guys and Jone bit a chunk out of his leg.
I really hope that one day he bites someone with hepatitis. |

Maybe Pac and Mike Tyson should have a steel cage match.

Better yet, send them to the octogon. Afterwards they can hug it out, that is if Pacman can still walk. |

Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
** A witness in the Las Vegas nightclub shooting that has left a man critically wounded claims Titans CB Pacman Jones is involved. Robert Susnar of Minxx Gentlemen's Club claims that Jones arrived and left with the suspected gunman. Susnar told police Jones was throwing hundreds of $1 bills in the air (known as "making it rain" in thug circles) and a female dancer lunged at Jones during a crowded scramble for the money. Jones allegedly yanked her by the hair and slammed her face into the stage.
According to Susnar, Jones and another young male threatened to kill a security guard who physically subdued Jones with a choke hold. Jones was allegedly fighting and biting (yes, biting) the security guard. Then the man was hit by a bullet minutes later. If Jones actually ordered or even urged his friend -- the shooter -- to go get the gun and shoot the guard, he could face felony accessory charges. The Titans star CB denies all of this but Susnar is steadfast. "For Pacman to have th! e gall to say he doesn't know the shooter is ridiculous," Susnar said. "Not only does he know the shooter, his girlfriend knows the shooter, and everyone who was with him knows the shooter." The man is reportedly going to be paralyzed for life. Another security guard was shot in the arm but he was released from the hopsital. A woman was also hit in the head by a bullet and she's in stable condition. Whether Jones is directly involved in this shooting or not, the Titans' new GM Mike Reinfeldt will hear from Nashvillians who don't want Pacman in their city anymore. The dangerous baggage is not worth a couple punt-return TDs...
Its not the THUG circle, its known in the hip-hop world, but not the thug circle, im guessing you dont know much about hip-hop or thugs.......... :goodjob: yea? |

Who cares if anyone knows anything about hip hop or thugs. 99% of the people trying to chase that lifestyle end up with a negative result. While Rogers has his faults, I am so glad that we didn't have to consider PacMan. He is a freakin' idiot. The worst part is that he was the best CB in that draft and he may never play another down. |
