Re: F...Ignorant, Panic-Stricken "Fans"

I'd say that it's more frustration than panic. This was a huge opportunity lost given how tough the schedule gets in the 2nd half.

I'm mostly frustrated that the coaching staff refused to attack a shaky NY secondary that everyone else has shredded so far. I admired how the Cowboys went after Chicago's secondary early with the pass to set up running success later. Perhaps Gibbs/Saunders will take note of that when we host Chicago in December. If they don't call plays to exploit Archuleta in coverage, I'll be amazed.
True, but we shouldn't heap unfair expectations onto this team. The fact is that this is a team that is growing with a young QB - the coaches are trying to figure out his limits and adjust accordingly, the receivers are trying to get down their timing with him, and JC is gaining experience which should serve him well in the future. While many of us have been more than patient with the team, we need to remain patient as JC develops.
I'm not trying to put unrealistic expectation on this team. I know we will have growing pains, but the Skins play better when they are not hand cuffed. I'd rather live and die with unconservative play.
Not once did I say anything negative about JC. Just the coaches.

I would rather have another 36-0 loss to the Giants where we just get dominated, than lose the way we did on Sunday.

I would love to agree with you but i just cant, the 36-0 loss was pathetic and the fact that these guys showed fight at the end of the game, despite the horrible plays Saunders was sending in, shows me we have a good team on our hands. I felt sick after the loss but this is my team, has been and always will be til' the day I die, and at the tender age of 22, Im hoping to see the skins play there heart out more and more. We can be mad and trust me I am, but the simple fact is, last year we were a lifeless 5-11 team and this year were a 2-1 fighter who may lose a bad game here or there, but they go down swinging. Campbell showed something on that last drive, and ARE was nearly unstoppable on that last drive, including his monster punt return. Dont be ashamed of this team at all, there very young and losses like this will happen to a team with such youth, but there going to learn from it, Im so excited about where this team is going, sure we lost a game we should have won, but look at the NFC, were still up there in the standings and I think things will only get better.

I understand what you're saying...I thought that at first too. But fact is, we were better than them until the play calling stunk up the place. Also, as Giantsuck says, we made a good attack at the end. There is a lot to build on even though it was a crushing loss.
I firmly believe that if we correct the play calling issues, not only do we win that game, but we are one of the best teams in the NFC.

Thread's not stupid and if its stupid don't waste your time posting.

I, like others here, have come to think that the they way the Skins call plays is kinda shitty in the fact they seem so damn passive. But what do I know? I don't know whats best for the team so I figure management knows whats best and I leave it at that. We can't win them all (But that'd be nice). Like someone posted earlier, I'm pretty young and haven't been able to relish the good ol winning days. And I'm of course sick of the Skins being looked at as the underdog.

But I have seen people near the brink of insanity about how we lost the game on Sunday. And it wasn't anyone in particular, just random people and a lot of time trollers.

I didn't mean for people to get all vicious on each other. :(

Where's the love?

That's just crazy Quake. If we had lost 36-0 even I would be in freak out mode.

Just wanted to suggest that a happy medium exists between panic and a positive outlook. I've been a fan since the early 90's and cannot remember a more talented group of players, particularly on offense. Yet we struggle to pop the 20 pt cherry each game. That's a matter of coaching/play-calling pure and simple. Call it conservative or whatever - it is what it is. But I'm just saying that even though it's blatantly obvious this team won't be a real contender under Gibbs style of offense there's still a lot to love about the Skins.

I gotta agree with you.

It's a shame you didn't see our team in the 80's. I've been a fan since the late 70's, and we had some teams in the 80's that rank up there with some of the best ever.

Well I agree with the first line, but everything after "Yet we struggle" I completely disagree with

Welcome to the board though
