Why is it all you gibbs haters refuse to see that we have a plethera of injuries??? Give another team the injuries we have and no way do they go 5-4 to this point. Gibbs is doing a good job with what he has.

And for the guy that said fired GW...remember he is dealing with a lack of a pass rush, and injuries to the secondary. You can't expect miracles when your best team is sitting on the bench.

Sorry, but I have to disagree here. Though we only had him for a short time, Marty would yield better chance than Gibbs. Marty has a better eye for talent than Gibbs (and better than Cowher, by the way) and he commands ten times the respect from his players. Marty's downfall has always been getting too conservative right at the end of close games.

Gibbs gets too conservative before the kick-off.

Injuries had little to do w/ the game today IMO. Losing ST was big but he's only one player and Praylow is a veteran. We lost because we couldn't get in the endzone when it mattered, because of horrific clock management, and because we're generally-speaking the sloppiest, most disorganized team in professional football. That's all coaching. IMO.

As for Marty being a great talent evaluator I can only say, "Rod Gardner". And ten times more respect? Really? Ten times as much?

Good post. People don't want to see that, because they have a losers mentality. They just call it "keeping it real" so as to give them an excuse to complain. If our team was completely healthy, we'd be in first place right now. Still, there are seven more games left to play. Plenty of opportunities for us to right the wrongs of this season. Besides, even the most "kool-aid" of us said we'd be 10-6.

No one is going anywhere, we are 5-4 the season is still somewhat young. The problem with Gibbs this time around is that you CANNOT WIN WITH CONSERVATISM. This league is changed so much that it is an "attack" game. In the 80's and 90's you could get away with it. You can't win being conservative!

First off, who the heck is Praylow? Secondly, it's funny how you completely ignore all the mistakes the defense made.

in order to be a good team in the NFL you have to be able to deal with injuries. i understand we have had our fair share of them so far, but we need to be able to adjust to that. lack of depth is something falls on the coaches during the offseason. injuries are part of the game.

Just kidding, dude. You're fine. Very predictable theme here....another skins loss, another "Gibbs-must-go" thread. At that point, Gibbs lovers deflect attention from Gibbs' inadequacies and start to focus on spelling errors and question the character of Gibbs doubters.

Had a very interesting incident in one of the threads after the Pats debacle where the Gibbs must go thread morphed into an attack on a forum member's character and marital fidelity.

What explains last season then? I just see a guy doing the " they fought their guts out" routine when they lose a game they deserved to win most of the time. Clock management has stunk all season, the penalties hve been a problem as of late. The injuries have hurt us, plus the lack of execution earlier in the season also. Thing is not much has changed in terms of team attitude from the Norv era. Norv was too laid back, Spurrier was like "Awwwwww Shucks we lost" also. Now we just hear "They fought their guts out". No killer instinct at all and not much imagination. Those lack of attributes you can't blame on injuries!!!!!!!
