Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
bottom line for me is instead of holding hearings because a bunch of asshole rich players is
stupid.hold a hearing on how to stop homelessness, hold a hearing about how slow redtape is in critical situations are why people in our country at this moment are starving.sports is entertainment and needs to be kept in it's proper place.like i said it's bullshit that these life saving things are way below the importance of the government when it comes to pro sports!!! |

Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
Have you been working on that comeback for 3 months?
Have a nice break. BTW, if you read SS's post carefully, you would see he wasn't attacking you - he was making the point that Congress does focus on things other than Spygate, just like you (and all of us) focus on things other than the Skins. |
Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
His issues with me seem to run deeper than that (judging by PMs I've gotten). Who knows why? Yeah I've locked a couple of his threads, but they were duplicates/old topics/wrong forums/dumb topics so someone was going to lock them.

I just noticed that the post before his was 2/18/08 and when I saw this thread I thought it was because of the new info and not just to attack another poster. |
Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
Arlen Specter is doin the right thing when the commish views these 8 tapes and sees cheating he should strip them of the titles and bounce them outta the league for the year or make them get rid of Belicheck. And SPECTER is a STEELERS FAN
|
Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
titles shouldnt be taken, but asteriks should be added.

Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
Hold hearings on why were paying $4 dollars for gas and EXXON has a 10 BILLON dollar profit...........for a fricking quarter! Profit ...thats after they pay for drilling, taxes and exploration!:soapbox:

Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
I doubt that Specter cares the Eagles lost. Comcast cable, who is in a big lawsuit with the NFL, has given somewhere between 200,000 and 500,000 dollars to Specter though his PAC funds. I get the feeling that he is using Spygate to threaten NFL's antitrust, thus putting pressure to settle the lawsuit with Comcast.
Why is Comcast in a big lawsuit with the NFL? |

Re: why does congress want to look into"spygate"?
cause they have nothing better to do.
Wrong! It's a billon dollar industry that is suppose to be legit. Do you like paying $80 bucks a least per ticket to see something that is fake? This isn't wrestling... |

Ok so they find out that the Pats did cheat. What can they do? |

Its called profit margin. They make about 8 cents on every dollar they spend. So if they spent $1 for a gallon of gas in 2000 they made 8 cents now if they spend $2 they make .16 cents. Their profit margin has not changed. |
