Titus cracks me up but I really like the classics like Cosby, Pryor, Kinison, and Eddie Murphy. |
Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
I like most of these people up here, except for Dane Cook. He's just not funny, IMO. I've seen a couple of excerpts from his shows, and I keep waiting for something to be funny, but it never is.
Is there something specific someone can point me to of his that's actually funny?
I couldnt agree more,I like most of the people mentioned here but Dane Cook I just dont get,I think his movies are better than his stand up.I rented his dvd about the bus tour and the opening comics he had on his tour were funnier than him.I did rent some montreal comedy festival dvds the other day that had different comics and dane Cook was one of them, but it was early Dane Cook,he didnt look the same as he does now,but he was actually funny with his routine, thats the only time i've ever laughed at anything of his |

Please don't tell me your in that lone group of people who enjoyed "Good luck Chuck" or "Employee of the Month" :Flush: Good luck Chuck is forgivable. Employee of the month is not. ;) |

This has to be one of the funniest acts I've ever seen. I had never even heard of the guy before this. |
Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
I actually liked employee of the month. There was some pretty good humor there... "Brand newish 2005 chevy mailbu" was pretty funny...

Dane Cook is good actor, he's not great, but how many standup's are? He is in a small group of stand up comedians that became good actors. |
Re: Favorite Stand-up Comedian:
any movie with Jessica Simpson is definitely a must see for men:)

I actually try to avoid ANYTHING with her in it. I find her extremely annoying. She is a human bobblehead! She has quite a body, but the second she starts talking, I find her repulsive. |

Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock (Sort of, he has his moments), Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby. If you're a good comedian I highly doubt the transition from comedian to actor is a very difficult thing. I'm sure there are more, I'm just throwing names off the top of my head. |

Eddie Murphy is a stud actor, one of the best standups to ever act. Cosby was good as well. There is a list of good comedians to be good actors, but it's not as big as you may think. Think of the MASSIVE amount of stand up comedians are out there. Saying the list is small is not cutting on anyone, I didn't say it was tiny, just small. I think I could come up with 20-30 if put on the spot all time. That's a small list if you ask me. |

Dave Chappelle hands down

I see where you're coming from. :) |

Man thats a tough question. For me it changes day to day. Right now I'm going to have to go with
