Re: It's Dallas week!
I just hope our team shows up for this game not b/c is Cowboys, but because they need to run the table to fight for the division or something better than being a 6th seed in the playoffs. Otherwise, what's the point of beating the Cowboys, if they regress to their inconsistent play afterwards and not show up for the latter games? I want to see them dominate the Cowboys and make a statement. Winning by 2 pts on the last drive will just mean that they are playing inconsistent football, will prob have to fight for the last spot in the playoffs, and will need other teams to back into the playoffs.

Re: It's Dallas week!
Well it's pretty clear that Phi,Was and Dallas are fighting for the 5th and 6th seed of the playoffs now so if any of us want to go to Tampa better be hoping we pull what the giants did last season because it looks it's going to be on the road in the playoffs
Ok both teams haven't looked good the past couple of weeks... Washington had barely won against bad teams and the offense has lost the explosiveness they had early on in the season.
Dallas is a complete mess, sure the injuries doesn't help, but it's a team that has completely lost their way and are just a bunch of individuals... Dallas season has collapse and I don't know if or how they can come back. Romo and other top players are comming back from injuries this week but in the case of Romo I believe it's more about need than health I just don't think he's Ok. And if he can't do the plays and throws that he's used to make I don't see them having a chance. I hope the Cowboys specially the Oline has fixed some of the problems during the bye week... because the season comes to this game. Washington is in a bad place right now but Dallas is worse and plays away from home so right now I see Was taking the W in a close game.... hoping that something happens during the week that makes me feel more confident of my team. 31- 27 final score Redskins
I agree with all you sad but this "Redskins are in a bad place right now". I think if you asked most people in football if we would make it to 6-3 90% of them would have said not a chance. While we have struggled we have also done more then most would have thought to begin with. Its Dallas who was picked to go to the SB and the Skins pick to be last in our division so we are doing just fine. We will also knock dallas down another notch this Sunday. |

I complete agree with you nobody taught you'll be sitting with a 6-3 record in bye week..... not in this division. the record it's great but it's not real on how the team has play.... it's like the Bills 4-0 record at the start we all thought they were great and now they have lost 4 out of the last 5. What I'm saying with the bad place it has to do with how they have played the past 4 weeks even if they won they didn't look good or play good on those wins and you see a tendency. it doesn't mean your not good but that the team hasn't played good in the past week not even close at the level when you first kicked our asses early in the season. |
Re: It's Dallas week!
We're rested and we're pissed. Springs and Taylor should start and D. Hall may feel he has something to prove. The o-line and the defense will try to make-up for a disappointing performance last week. The coaches have had time to look at the film and see where adjustments need to be made. It's Dallas at FedEx baby. I'm looking for an EXPLOSION of hard-hitting smashmouth football. We need this win against a NFC East opponent.....and we get it. Skins-23 Cowgirls-10

Re: It's Dallas week!
By the numbers! This is going to be a tough hard fought match....but we pull it out. SKINS WIN in a close one.
Posted at 6:02 PM ET, 11/10/2008 Skins by the Numbers We've reached that part of the season by which every team has had its bye, so from a statistical standpoint the field is level. Here's where the Skins stand (with tonight's "MNF" game, obviously, still to be played): The Skins rank 11th in total offense (fourth in rushing yards per game and 18th in passing yards per game). They rank fourth in total defense (sixth against the run and eighth against the pass). The only other teams to be ranked in the top 10 in both rushing and passing defense are Pittsburgh (second vs. run, first vs. pass), Baltimore (first/ninth) and the Giants (seventh/second). Pretty good company. |
Re: It's Dallas week!
hmmmm...personaly im not trying to think about this game. Ever other time i think about a game, and imagine us just dominating i usually get disapointed. I hope we play well. So....asking me again on sunday then ill give you a prediction.

They had the longest training camp and longest preseason of anyone. I think we see more of the week 4 Redskins now that they've napped a bit. |
I'm nervous about this game, to be honest. But none of them punk Cowboy fans better be showing their faces around here. Bunch of weak ass wannabes talking shit for a whole week leading up to the first game then going into hiding over the past month.
Wow Smoot, haven't heard that type of talk out of you in a while. Just as long as there isn't 50,000 screaming Cowbitch fans at the game. 24-21 Skins baby!!!!!!! |
Re: It's Dallas week!
24-17 SKINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
im telling you. |
Re: It's Dallas week!
Not penciling in this as a W by any means, but we'll make Tony Romo wish he took another week off.
I think we're on the verge of an offensive explosion. However, Heyer needs to start at RT as not to give DeMarcus Ware an easy matchup with Jansen. Campbell can have pretty much any matchup he wants down the field. We won't spend too much time running the ball even if Portis is healthy. |

Of course, if we're putting stock into who has played well prior to the bye week, how in the world do we give the Cowboys a fighting chance in this one? To accept that we might see an improved Cowboys team, I think you have to expect to see a Redskins team similar to the one you saw in Week 4. Anything else is just wishful thinking. |
Re: It's Dallas week!
The problems in Dallas go alot deeper than the QB position. I think its a coaching and accountability thing. Check out this quote from Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins about his lack of effort late in the Giants game:
Its also rumored that Roy Williams is upset about his role within the offense. This is a disfunctional situation that cant be cured by the return of 1 player. IMO all the Skins need to do is get on the Cowboys early and they will fold easily!
Well, I think the dysfunctionality in their offense will not return after the bye week, but their line is still playing poorly, the receivers aren't getting off the ball, and the defense is awful. So while dysfunction might not describe a Romo-led offense, they just aren't what they used to be. Which, of course, is far more problematic to fix. |
Now here is a funny storyline
TO Goes to Letterman This has gotta top Romo's trip last year, I just can't really believe they would let him go there during the week...
not even close to the same |
not even close to the same
How so, I never did get the problem with Romo last season, it was an extra week off after all(do we know where our players were last week?), and if TO wanted to do a book signing, do it last week. But to leave the team to go to NY during the week when your team has a big game? That's insane. If any Skins player tried to do it the coaches would not allow it, period. That JJ and WP allowed it just shows again why Parcells got out of there. |
