Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
Lol well lets get ready for another tail end of the season charge!!! =] ha, the only game im worried about or two actually is Giants and Baltimore, like most people said we struggle against good D's and these two teams have two of the top 10 Deffense. I hope we can pull them out of our bag as victories, but that could be stretch

Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
I think we will be lucky to go 3-3. I think we lose to NY and the Ravens and will lose to at least one of the other 4 teams. I think teams now know to just blitz the crap out of us and I don't think there are any adjustments we can make at this point to shore this up.
I can see us going 4-2 down the stretch without any hesitation. 3 of those teams (Cincy, SF, Seattle) have nothing to play for at this point and Philly is phading phast. The Baltimore game could easily be 9-6 and I don't look forward to the Giants matchup. Campbell is going to take a beating that day if we don't shore up the OL.
It's the NFL and all 3 of those teams have something to play for. It's called pride and it's jobs and it's called being a professional. Do you think that SF is just going to lie down with Singletary coaching them? DId you see them beat the crap out of STL, the team we lost to at home?? Plus they should've beat Ariz. SF is going to be a very tough team to beat. As is Cinn and Seattle. Cinn is playing much better now. |
I'll say it here first that we blow Sea out of the water this week. Our D holds them in check Portis runs for over 150 yards (unless his knee is an issue and Betts see's more time) and the passing game goes. I'll also say that one of our new Wr's scores. Heck lets have fun and the D scores one for us as they are due.
How can you say that with a straight face?? |
anyone that says they wouldn't have been happy with 6-4 at the point in the season, before the season started, isn't telling the truth. the redskins will be favored in 3 of those games. and will win the 4th, to get into the playoffs. there, i said it. i never make predictions like this. but looking at the talent we have, all that needs to be done is coach Buges working on consistency. might be time to get Mr. Heyer back into the line up
I'm happy. I think we're going to end up 9-7 or 8-8. Even if we make the playoffs I just don't see us going anywhere simply because we can't score any points. |

I agree with you, im also glad we are 6-4 who exactly execpted us to start of as good as we did? Defiently not me |
Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
the only two games we whave a prob with is ravens and giants maybe jacobs will be out of commission then but the other games i think we will be ok if our o-line steps up
For me, I think it's time to pull out the stops. We were talking about saving Moss for the playoffs and those look like they might be slipping away. I'd really like to see him back there a lot more often now until the offense starts showing they can score more than 10-15 points a game.
No doubt. The pace of our offense has been downright awful. We need more crisp, uptempo playcalling, with maybe a little more shotgun involved. Like JC said on Doc Walker today, we have to get back to the offense we were calling during the 4 game win streak. 4 of these last 6 games are road games. With Hasselbeck back for Seattle, they are a lot better than their lousy record suggests, and that stadium is a tough place to play. We really wet the bed losing 3 out of our last 4 at home. It's tough to win on the road in this league. I think we'll be lucky to go 4-2, with 3-3 more likely IMO. |

i thought we were going to be 5-11 to 6-10 and the defense was going to fall apart. turns out the defense has kept us in every game this year as they've done 3 out of the last 4 years. |

Of course you're right, but after seeing what we're capable of during that 4 game tear, adjustments were made to our expectations, and justifiably so. So yes, overall big picture, 6-4 doesn't seem bad. But we can't win at home, we've lost 3 out of 5 overall, and the offense is in the tank. So it's not a happy 6-4 at all right now. |

When do we EVER blow anyone out of the water? It hasn't happened since last season's Detroit game. Remember, a lot of us were calling for blowout three straight weeks vs St. Louis, Cle, and Det. No luck there. We have 6 offensive TDs in our last 5 games. Something MAJOR would have to change for a blowout to happen. Maybe a defensive TD or two as you say. |

Don't know I just have that feeling that its a blow out against Sea. I think our Oline comes up big in this game because they have alot of pride and they will reverse this trend. Its a great game for that with Sea's D ranked 25th or worse in the 3 major categories. So Mat is back our D is not the problem right now and they will hold Sea to under 14 points. |

On paper that sounds nice, but Detroit, St. Louis, and Cleveland are all lousy defensive teams, and we didn't exactly light them up either. Well, we had a lot of yards, but didn't turn them into points. I totally appreciate your optimism, but I'm not going to believe we're capable of a blowout until I see one. |

It amazes me that people actually think we're going to blow anyone out when we lost to the Rams and barely beat Det. |
Re: 4-2 the rest of the way?
I think we beat SEA, CIN, SF.....lose either NYG or BAL...perhaps both....and the Philly game is a toss up.
Every time I count the Redskins out they come out and prove me wrong, im done doubting this team after the '05 and '07 runs. I predict a 4-2 finish but will it be good enough for the playoffs...that im not so sure about. That Rams game is the one that I think will haunt us the most at the end of the year...a gimmee game that we flat out blew. |
