EXACTLY....right and wrong DO NOT enter the equation......sadly CP does not get it. AND the John Thompson show is making a killing on his stupidity
im tellin ya, the JT show knows how to pull portis' strings and they are milking this cow for all its worth. they just keep asking him the same question with different language or approach and eventually Cp opens his mouth and just tells it like it is.

he needs to get off that show or atleast dont have him call in on his cell phone like hes just talkin to one of his boys. if he was in the studio i think he would have a better understanding that what he is saying is being broadcast for all to hear.

I kinda blame the JT show and Bmitch for using CP and his loose mouth to make their show cant miss radio. they know what they are doing, Cp doesnt.

go skins!!

Re: More Portis

I have a love & hate thing with CP. I love it when he goes out there and plays his heart out. I hate it when he opens his mouth. This should be kept in the locker room, period. I think he should be fined and kept on a short leash. They have made him apologize when he said stupid things in the past. We'll have him for another year or two regardless. That's as long as he'll last anyway considering they put the weight of the world on his shoulders. We do have Ladel and Rock but barely use them anymore?
Clinton is a little dense though. He said he didn't make any mistakes. I wonder what all of those fumbled balls are called? If your reading this CP, I love you but please shut up.

Something else came to my mind. Do y'all remember all of the problems that the Giants were having? All of the mouthy little children pouting in the locker room had that team on its head. Guess what happened when they left? SUPER BOWL.
The problem is that CP knows DS will back him over JZ or any other coach. Hence the coach's authority in undermined. Had CP pulled this crap on almost any other team he'd be suspended at least and at worst looking for another team that wants his services. I seriously doubt the Eagles or Giants head coach would let CP shoot his mouth off like this without some serious repercussions but those head coaches know the owner will back them.
Agree 100%. Snyder needs to keep the chain of command intact. Snyder - Cerrato - Zorn - Asst Coaches - Players.

Nothing wrong with an open door policy to air complaints/issues if they haven't been addressed through the chain, but his "stargazing" should've stopped by now, he's owned the team for over 10 years. I'm sure in his other businesses he didn't let an employee or mid-level manager by-pass a senior manager or VP and come right to him. He needs to tell Cerrato & Zorn to talk to Portis and tell him to shut-up or he'll be fined/benched.

If anyone has the right to complain (and if they do, it should not be publicly), it is the members of our defense.

Re: More Portis
2. That said, he's 100% correct. The reason we were so successful running the ball (and winning games) is because in the first half of the season, we were still using the Joe Gibbs running game. Starting 6-2 was -more than anything else- a carry-over from the system Joe Gibbs installed. The new passing game Zorn installed here was down right horrible. The one thing working for our offense was the running game -- and Zorn decided to start messing with it. Zorn is an idiot.
Factually wrong. Zorn's playcalling and Campbell's ability to avoid negative plays saved what could've been even more disastarous of a second half of the season. Zorn really only made a few bad playcalls IMO, the Sellers Goalline plays and a few others. I guess the timely screens and draws that were successful were terrible playcalls.....
1.This is a 6-10 team (at best) next year.
2. Zorn will be fired.
3. Vinny will be fired. (He said in an interview Snyder was only giving he and Zorn two years to right the ship).
4. Next year, at this time, Synder will attempt to hire BIll Cowher to a 12-15M per year annual contract to be our head coach/team president/general manager. Unfortunately, He will probably be beat out by Jerry Jones. There is no logical reason for Jones to have not fired Wade Phillips by now - none. the only reason he still has a job is because Jones wants Cowher and is keeping the team intact until then.
5. If Snyder can't outbid Jones in landing Cowher, plan B will be to hire Mike Holmgren as our GM and Mike Shanahan as our Head coach. This is actually may be a better situation for the skins anyway. Shanahan/Holmgren live and breathe the WCO, so we wouldn't have to change to a brand new offensive system again. They are also offensive guys so they would probably be fine leaving the defensive system in tact - our team would have far greater continuity with a Holmgren/Shanahan combo than by bringing in anyone else.
1. Wrong
2. Wrong
3. Wrong
4. What has the chin done that's so incredible? He had remarkable support from ownership, good talent, weak division and one SB in 15 years. He'll be out of football two years next year.
5. What has Shanahan after the two SBs (post-Elway)? Support from ownership, good talent, weak division, nothing to show for it.

How about we stop trying to pin blame on one or two people (Snyder, Cerrato, Zorn, Campbell). We have flaws that will not be fixed in one year. Maybe we should focus on rebuilding the OL & DL and developing the talent and system we have in place. There is no miracle owner/GM/coach/player that will swoop down and bring us a SB. We tried that five years ago with a HOF coach, and IMO one of the best if not the best ever, and he couldn't bring home a SB trophy.

Support of the ownership also kept Gibbs 1 alive. yes he got 3 SB rings, but if not for Jack Kent Cookes dedication to him, who knows. I just think this is the key thing that our team needs now. we've tried every combination known to man except just letting patience and structure grow. The bad part of that is while it is developing, all us fans can do is wait and hope.

Portis was never destined for being an analyst anyway.

Terrell Owens is a diva who plays wide receiver.

Clinton Portis is a diva who plays running back.

Terrell Owens' skills are slipping and he will soon reach the point where his value on the field is no longer worth the baggage he brings along with him.

If the comparisons with Terrell Owens offend folks here, substitute the name "Chad Ocho Cinco", "Brett Favre", KW II ...

Well said, and much agreed. But I must add that Gibbs having chalked up a Super Bowl after season 2 certainly kept Cooke dedicated.
