Re: RI: Skins Looking at Veteran Offensive Linemen
Let's not overanalyze this: There are only so many resources available. I want a new O line as much as the next guy, but with Haynesworth, Hall, and the draft of Orakpo, there isn't alot of ammo left. And it is only May.
I watched enough last year to know that RT and the o-line in general was the biggest problem. But, it is early and maybe Heyer is ready. Maybe Bridges can help. And maybe the answer is: we ran out of ammo THIS year. |

Its 1/2 hour later and I just reread and re-thought my last post. I still believe it, but the panic is setting in. We need help!!
I was just checking out the Redskins website and saw an interview (5/7) with Mike Williams. The guy is down to like 392 lbs., I think that's amazing considering that a few months ago he was pushing 450. Good for him, I hope things work out for him.
Granted we didn't address OL in the draft, but given that, I like what we've been doing overall. Bridges plus adding other bodies like Williams will at the least give us a better chance of having more quality on the 53 man (Williams is a stretch IMO, but still). Same goes for LB. Robert Thomas plus the 2 draft picks and possibly bringing MW back at least increases our chances for improving overall quality on the roster. |
