I worked with a guy in Iraq who used to be a prison guard. He told me that if you do a crime against a woman or a child they know before you get there who you are and what you did and they -inmates- are waiting for you. I guess there is honor amongst criminals. I agree, dont confine him. He said they would tell him who was coming to the prison and in some cases they knew before the guards. that grapevine is alive and well i guess.

Yeah, I watch some of these prison shows on History & Discovery channels & all the prisoners they talk to all say the same thing. Don't hurt a kid or you will pay for it in jail. Most of them seem to feel that crimes against adults are ok (huh?) but hurting, killing, molesting (especially molesting) a child is a severe beating just waiting to happen. In many cases, these guys are beaten to death in their cells, in the showers, wherever they come in contact with other inmates. Most of these child offenders have to be secluded from the general populous to protect them. I don't think they should be protected. Personally, I feel that once you've committed such a heinous crime, you forfeit your rights as a person & deserve whatever you get. You want to act like an animal? you deserve to be treated like one.

I agree, and the sad part is, he will have some scum lawyer trying to defend him by saying something stupid -he was temp insane, mental history etc-in an attempt to get him off.
So I read through this thread and I see several people who say that nothing is too harsh for this guy. The same people have a problem with the goverment and how its treated some people who are out to kill as many Americans as they can given the chance. Whats the difference and babies died at 9/11?
Don't count me among them. When at war, give the enemy no quarter.

Yeah, most-likely the ACLU.

Im with you on that. Don't know which guys he is referring to, but it's certainly not me. Since it's not you too, maybe that comment was a tad too broad from him.

Here's another unbelievable piece of sh*t. This is morbid enough that I just didn't want to start another depressing thread, and just posted it here instead:

This upsets me on so many levels. How in the name of God was this little maggot not behind bars after this rap sheet:

"Ross has a record of previous arrests for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana, obscenity, battery on a correctional officer, three counts of battery on a teacher, three counts of theft, illegal carrying of a weapon and assault."

I doubt he is...I'm betting he was acting out of emotion and he was pissed off at his EX and wanted to teach her a lesson. If he was THAT cold and emotionless he would have never had a girlfriend in the first place. He obviously feels.
About cruel and unusual punishment. There is no such thing in this case by our standards, but by law standards cruel and unusual will apply to several different scenarios that we have already mentioned. This guy will be treated too well from start to finish, including *IF* he gets the death penalty. There should be NO DOUBT he gets the chair, and he should not be allowed to drag this out, but he will. Cruel and unusual punishment is what the parents have to go through waiting for this ass to die.
Have you ever heard the term piece of a$$. I'm sure that's about how far their relationship went.

Would anyone legally argue against the death penalty in this case. No words for this.

yeah my experience in visiting correction facilities (visitor/observer not inmate) is that they separate child offender, sex offenders from general pop so you dont have inmates being the judge, jury and executioner.

while murder in the heat of passion/emotion is 2nd degree (sounds like what happened here - no premeditation from the basic facts known to us), 1st degree applies b/c a killing happened during the comminsion of a felony (kidnapping), hence felony murder.

sad this happens all to often. women throwing babies off rooftops, drowning their kids in bathtubs, now this crap. young moms and dads not ready to be parents shake their kids to death b/c the baby wont stop crying . . . you need a license to drive, own a gun but anyone is free to go out and have kids or 14 kids . . . makes the people who work hard, pay their taxes, dont drive reckless, didnt buy a house when they knew they couldnt afford it only to have the gov bail them out, putting a ton of money in a soc security that they will never see want to move to canada or sweden.

where are the breaks for the good peope?

Re: Man Throws 3 Month Old Baby From Moving Car

Over the MT I am not sure what great breaks in life baby killers are getting but I would consider myself and probably 99.9% of this board to be good people and I would assume we live better lives then the baby killers.

Here are some breaks:
I get to hear my son laugh when he is happy
My family is health (mental and physical)
When I put my head down at night I sleep easy knowing I did the best for my
family that day

There are plenty of BREAKS (rewards) to being a good person and no one said it is easy to be a "good" person, most likely it is harder to be a good person then a bad person but there are much greater rewards to being good.

If you are looking for a tax break or an award for being a good person from the goverment or who ever good luck, it ain't happen.
