Bengals - I like their draft and their additions on D. I'm keeping a close eye on Rey M.
Lions - I like underdogs.

Interesting comment...although saying "it's like a trainwreck and you don't want to look away until it's all over" is also acceptable.

I watch all the NFL teams...just love the NFL! Of course the Skins are my #1 concern, but when the Skins are over, I still try to find a game to watch.

For those interested in Maualuga, the Bengals lined him up at SAM backer at rookie camp and seem to be intent on leaving Dhani Jones at MLB. They want the best players on the field and instead of having Rey-Rey sit and learn, he may play SAM this year. That's the early report anyway.

That's interesting man...i totally forgot about Jones.

...i think it's very odd we took Orakpo @ 13 to stick him at SLB when we could have traded down and gotten a variety of true LBs and probably some other fresh talent too. Wonder if Blache had input on the pick, saying something like "yep I think the kid could make the transition to SLB in our system" or if the FO basically drafts what/who they want and Blache makes due. My gut is there's a disconnect of sorts between the deciders and the coaching staff...i mean Blache is one of the more laconic coordinators out there (even the overly gruff Williams praises his players more than Blache does) but think about how laudatory Blache was of Marcus last year through thick and thin. Meanwhile the FO hasn't said it would really like Marcus back...just a vet min contract on an olive branch.

On the other hand it would really be Blache's decision of how/where to play Orakpo right? I highly doubt the FO steps in and says put a guy here or there.

I think they took Orakpo because they believe he's an outstanding talent. Now that they have him, where do they put him? We know Blache really likes Daniels and if Marcus doesn't come back we have have a real need at SAM. If he doesn't work out that well at LB, we may see another pick-up and keep him at DE. It depends a lot on some of the other backers but I think this shows they look at Blades as a backup for now. I think they feel Orakpo was too good to pass up and will find a way to get him in the game one way or another.

The Skins took Orakpo as fast as any team has taken a player that ive seen since watching the draft. The reason behind this is because Orakpo was a top 5 talent who slipped.

Orakpo will be a DE for years to come. I have no doubt in my mind about this. I think with Daniels and Wynn at LDE the Skins know they are set at LDE on 1st and 2nd down against the run. I think the coaching staff knows we have a hole at SLB and want to put the best 11 players on the field. Orakpo at the very least in 2009 will be rushing the passer from the DE spot on third down.

Daniels and Wynn are getting old and Carter has regressed a little. Soon enough Orakpo will be the RDE and he will hold that position hopefully for a long time to come. The only other times I was this excited about a 1st round pick the Skins had selected was in 1999 with Champ Bailey, when the Skins took Arrington & Samuels in 2000, and when the Skins drafted Sean Taylor in 2004. Thats pretty good company for Orakpo.

Re: What NFL teams do you have your eye on this year?

Dallas- I have been waiting for a complete and utter implosion for years and I think it may happen this year. Tony Romo will finally be revealed as overrated and with no reliable backup, they will become an "expansion team."

Broncos- Call me crazy, but I love Kyle Orton. Always have been a believer in him and think that with talent around him for once, he will be a great QB. I just hope this crazy new coach will not be the demise of this almost proud franchise.

Falcons- Matt Ryan just keeps getting new weapons and this team will be good this year, better next year, and so on and so forth

Colts- With a new staff I think we will see how great Peyton is. Last year he pretty much single handedly saved the season for them. This year he has no Harrison, no Dungy, no Mudd, and no Moore. People often forget that he is in some ways a coach himself and every year he grows in value IMO. I honestly think he is the best QB in the league.

Patriots- Tom Brady will be in his first full season without knowing the defensive playcalling beforehand. How will he fare? Hope he has a new knee brace.

Texans- If my man Shaub can stay healthy, they can get into the playoffs and be a real contender. Maybe I will even forgive them for drafting an effing Mountaineer as their starting RB.
and now WILL we see another NE coach not have the same success elsewhere?

oops
No Brady, no success. Belichick has only won one playoff game without Brady.
