Do you really think he has any interest thoughts other than "hmmm, how can I throw a shit load of money at this problem in an attempt to fix it?"
~~~~~~~ Nope, because that is how he thinks he can fix things. |
Re: Now What??
Were was our powerful D. I know they were on the field allot but our d backs can't cover no one .and we have no pressure which doesn't help the d backs,,,,Why can't we ever find Cooley in the endzone..This is one sucked to no end..It's going to be hard to leave the house..I'M STOPPING BECAUSE I COULD GO ON AND ON..
Going to be an extremely intense week in DC.
very intense..lot of tension..welcome to the nfl as a coach jz |
Re: Now What??
If Betts gets cut (which I hope he does) I would play Mason and Alridge a lot.
Re: Now What??
Honestly, I'd like to hear about some players only meetings this week on both sides of the ball. We look so flat. We need a come to Jesus moment.
Gibbs talked about "fighting their guts out" all the time to the point where we would often laugh. What I wouldn't give for a team that fights its guts out right about now. |
Re: Now What??
Zorn went 4 it on 4th down right? not JC Zorn declined the penalty so the lions could score right? not JC so that added 4 points to the score which would have made it a 14-15 field goal game!!! But yet it is JC's fault!!! Draft a brain!!!
Going for it on 4th is the correct call. The play call was completely obvious and uninspired, but you should go for it there. You've got to assume your defense will not give up a 99 yard drive. They are supposed to be "great" right? (Yeah right). Not declining the penalty was completely inexcusable. He should be fired for that alone. Still, Campbell did not play well. There is absolute no timing or rhythm to his game. He is inconsistent and you cannot absolve him from the problems on this team. The thing is that he is one of many problems. (Chad Rhinehart is not an NFL player and they had to help him all day long (because he was getting beaten the whole first half until they started giving him help on every play). But Campbell played very poorly today. I think you have to come to the conclusion that he is not the long-term answer for this team. |
Re: Now What??
Just heard the locker room interview with JZ. MAN, he is FRIED. He barely made sense
|
Re: Now What??
There's only so much we can blame on Zorn here -- the players apparently expected to be handed the win today...
|
Re: Now What??
the sooner we make changes in the management of this team, the sooner we can start rebuilding. keeping zorn all season wont do anything, unless some miracle happens and we start clicking. this isnt working and weve known it for a while, going back to the 2nd half of last season. we havent looked good at any point in the season and this is the easiest stretch of schedule.
Re: Now What??
Gotta agree with that. I don't think canning him right now would make us any better, but I also don't think we're going to get any better with him around either.
To me, accepting that penalty on 3rd down in the first half shows me Zorn's acumen, or lack thereof. My big toe knows enough to decline that penalty and force a 4th down.
Zorn's excuse for accepting the penalty was that he felt they were already in FG range and he wanted to move them back ten yards. Obviously his decision backfired on him. |
AGREED!!!! Time for Vinny to go!!!!
Will getting rid of Vinny really make a difference? Snyder will just be replacing puppets. |
It definitely needs to be a West Coast coach we will be setting the team back farther and farther if we keep switching system now everyone is like JC if that happens which he might be a casualty because of the situation. |
Re: Now What??
It's really sad as I hear Samuels trying to spin how good the Lions really are. I kind of over the rationalizing....
